Hey guys, so I was recently given a vape from a friend who got it for his birthday (but he doesnt like vaping idk why) so he gave it to me! Apparently its a pretty far up one and I have no idea how it works, and I don't wanna kill myself haha, I believe people call it a mod Vape, and you can turn up the watts and stuff like that, and I hear that there are things to do with what watt u should go, I have no idea what Ohms are so I need to learn about that, if people could help me out here that'd be great! Great to be here on an official forum about vaping haha, good to have professionals around me!

I agree with Bonskibon. You now have a Vape..but, not much else is known. It's like saying "I got a vehicle, how do I use it?" :) A good start would be to post a picture of what you have. Like this:

Below are some blogs that may help you. However, once you know what mod it is (brand, model) you can go on YouTube and find a video on how to use it. There should be a brand name or model name somewhere on the mod. If not, try to post a nice pic of it.

In general (these days), 'mods' are just power-flexible batteries you stick a tank/atomizer on.
Unless it's a mechanical mod, which means it'll have no electronics.
If you google the exact name of the mod and then the tank, you should be able to get a good idea of what it can do.
Often they are called 75w or 5-30w or even 200w. There is also "TC" ("temperature control")
If it's a known tank, chances are the quickest way to find out the common settings is to ask on here.

Should you find yourself stuck on a desert island..

Check the tank has liquid, turn on the mod, use the buttons to drop it down to the minimum power and start vaping. Work your way up.

Ok guys so the mod and box thing I have is a Sigelei, and it goes up to around 120 watts or around there based on the battery life it seems. The screw-on atomizer thing is an Innokin iSub Apex, and I also have a Velocity RDA I can use as well.

Yes, well, you're almost there. The isn't an 'around 120 watts' Sigelei... but clearly you have a powerful mod. Maybe it's a 150w?

Now, the iSub Apex is a well-known tank. I has a few different types of coils.
With it attached to you mod, your mod should be telling you the resistance of the coil on the screen.

There's a few very different coils. Some will read 0.2 or maybe 0.5 (or a little more) one will read 2.0 (or more).

What'ya got? :)

I got a .5 coil by the looks of it, so thats cool haha, and yeah I also have a straight up mechanical one that gets hot fast because theres no technology on it, its just straight metal to metal, with the battery, so i just use the regulated one. But yeah its a .5 coil!
