Greeting all,

A little back ground:

I saw the piece on Fox news (No IDEA why I was watching Fox news BTW) and got curious about Ecigs. Googled it and found the Smoke Everywhere site. Despite the atrocious ad my curiosity was piqued. I started looking around, found there are too many sites for me to sort through to find the right one. Googled reviews and found a couple sites, didn't trust them. I was pointed to Blu a lot and have to admit I was sold on their site and packaging (Hate em all you like but thats good marketing). But I noticed that there were a lot of comments about shipping issues. Looked around google again and found this place. Spent the last 4 hours looking through reviews and watching video reviews. I found the vids by Terraphon to be the most helpful. Went and checked out eSmokeyTreats (We call em Smokey Treats at work as is so it tickled my fancy anyway). I think I'm sold on the JOYE 510 with the Pack charger, but disappointed that my initial investment will be so much more than the BLU site was promising (though delivery obviously an issue).

So here is my query and request. I would like some help in tailoring my initial purchase for both my own enjoyment and the indoctrination of some other people around me who are curious.

About my smoking habits:
I am a mid level smoker with some strange habits. I will often go 3-4 days without smoking without any adverse effects. I'm not addicted in the traditional sense but I very much enjoy a good smoke be it cigarette, Cigar, or Pipe. I engage in a couple vices in a very moderate way. However, smoking restrictions have made this one problematic, add that I will not smoke around my kids, anyone elses kids, or non-smokers. I am hoping that e-cigs will not only be a favorable alternative for me but also for my father, and Fiancees who are both multi pack a day smokers and less restrictive with their own habit in concern with the children than I am. I don't give them a hard time, but my personal preference would be smoke free kids.

The brands I smoked, or smoked until they were recently discontinued were: Kamel Red Lights (My stanby for many years, recently discontinued :(), Camel Signature Infused, Camel Sig Mellow, Camel no9, and Camel Wide Lights when nothing else is availible. I'm also fond of pipe tobaccoo cigs such as Sweetwater, Captain Black, and Havanna Honeys. I do not enjoy most any other cigarettes I've tried. I'm a snob, I know, I apologize.

My other smoking habits include Cigars (Onyx Reserve, Cohiba, Torano Exodus Silver, C.A.O Moontrance, A. Fuente) and a classic Pipe (Argosy Black Discontinued, Captain black, Any good earthy black mix)

So taking that into account what would you suggest for a maiden voyage order? Bearing in mind I would like to get a couple other people hooked on the idea?

What to buy and where to buy it for best balance of value/service?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you all.

I think you'll enjoy the 510. Note they're all the same, regardless of where you purchase it, or what it's 'called.'

Either way, get some sampler liquids, try Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice - The Best E-Liquid in the World - Made Right Here in America for their sampler kit, but order a few 'staples' wherever you buy your kit from - 10ml of a tobacco variant, and some RY4.

    Where to buy a 510?
    Read:

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/joye-510/16488-510-kits-parts-suppliers-discussion.html

and a price list I put together here (links directly to post in above thread):
    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-parts-suppliers-discussion-2.html#post301308

I've yet to have an issue with a vendor in the US, have bought from many of them, and gotten good service. For the 510, have bought from
AltSmoke - Electronic Cigarettes, DSE901, The Yeti & More.
    and
Electric Cigarette & E Liquid - Totally Wicked Electronic Cigarette Fluid

and had good turnaround..and others I'm forgetting..

For the 510, suggest the usual starter kit, likely with manual batteries, or a kit with one manual (press switch to activate) and one auto (just inhale). The manual batteries are more reliable. Treat batteries and more importantly, atomizers, as consumables, but for your first order, I'd just get some spare carts, either pre-filled or blanks.

if you like it, then add a USB passthrough and PCC, more juice and carts, and spare atomizers. None of the 'cig juices' taste identically to analogs, but many of us like Kent (juice, not the brand smokes :) ), MBoro, etc...and a lot like the Johnson Creek TN Cured. You may surprise yourself and find yourself liking e-juice tasting nothing like tobacco, like RY4.

Just start with a good kit (the 510 is, IMO) with 2 atomizers and batteries, and a total of 20 or so carts, they're cheap, and you can always refill them and get blanks, USB passthrough etc later.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Lots of helpful info.

My current plan is to get a 510 kit with one manual and one automatic as I'm not sure the manual would be a good way to introduce other people to it.

The place I am looking at that has one is Esmokeyshack.com. Can anyone vouch for them as a reliable source? Any promo codes?

Also I have notices two local spots (Pretty small town two) carrying display cases FULL of nJoy's nCig and nPro and lots of 10 packs of cartridges. For the sake of convenience, if I wanted a model of PV compatable with the locally availible nCig carts which would I need to get?

Phil at e-smokey-treats is great to work with and stands behind what he sells. I've also had good results with eastmall.net and Ruyan Direct when it comes to their liquid. Rocky Mountain Vapor provides free shipping, so might want to check them out also.

The closes tobacco liquid I have tried to the real thing is KENT from eastmall, ruyan or rocking mountain.

I haven't heard anything bad about that vendor, although haven't yet purchased from him myself. I'd plan on just getting some e-liquid and blanks, and filling them yourslelf..quite easy for most model e-cigs, and much cheaper, plus you can then choose what flavor works best for you.

There's a discount list here you can look through:

The NCig is a rn 4072 or penstyle. The 4072 carts, atomizers etc. and the NCig are interchangeable

What about the nPro. Seem to be more of those.

For myself I'll order some juice and blanks and refill mostly, but it's nice to know there is some store to grab a pack at in need. Also it would be easier to "sell" it to the buddies if there was an element of convenience. I've been reading up and researching this thing for a week now, most won't put that effort in.

I've seen all the good feedback on esmokeytreats but then only carry the manual battery for the 501. I personally am not sure how I would like the manual starting out and would like to have at least one auto to let people demo with.

And besides I like a good political fight and cause and this one seems worthwhile, might as well have local allies.

Ok made my order today. Friend of mine got a "No.9 Stealth" off of some site. he brought it in today and the experience was definitely pleasant and acceptable. Took it to lunch with me and let the Fiancee (Much heavier smoker than me) take it for a spin. She loved it... loved it. And insisted I double my order.

So I went with e-Smokeytreats based mostly on all the good feedback here and got two JoyE 510m kits (black and blue) A small variety of carts, two PCC's, Blanks, and Camel flavor smoke juice. We are both excited about it coming and happy to consider the carton of Camel Infused purchased yesterday as our last.

I would still like to know, for convenience sake. What carts are interchangeable with the 510. Over the last week I have found well stocked display cases of nJoy and Smoking Everywhere carts and kits. Can I use carts from those brands in the 510? If so which carts?

I have two ecigs...one is a smoking everywhere and the other is a BE401 from best ecigs. so far, i prefer the smoking everywhere ecig (but then again, I've been vaping that for about a week already). The 401 seems to lack the vapor that the SE does and makes a lot more noise during inhaling than the SE. the SE was a lot more money, however, than the 401 (by about $100).

I have heard a lot about the 510's and may look into one of those or the Nebula if the 401 doesn't pan out in a few weeks.

We got our order in yesterday from E-Smokeytreats.

The 510's are great. The amount of vapor is way better than the others ones I've tried.

I'm less than impressed with the PCC. Seems like some forsight was lacking in the design. I would think you pay $25 for a case you should be able to keep everything you need to smoke with in it, there is not even a space for your e-cig. I would avoid purchasing it if it broke.

All the hullaballo over the battery life does not seem to be effecting ours. I've been using mine since 5am this morning (3pm now) and its still chugging away, and I've been puffing on it much more than I would an analog.

One snag is that one of the Atomizers in the second kit went bad after only a few hours. I've put an email into EST and will see how easy it is to get it replaced.

In 24 hours I've sold three other smokers on them, thinking about reselling them locally. So far so good.
