Hey guys, im new to vaping ,and was just curious on whats a good starting vape to go with? (tank, battery, etc).

I started with a a basic riva 900 mAh battery with a kanger t3s tank, and today i just "Upgraded" To a Ego-C Twist 1100 mah battery, and im just wondering what else would be good? I tried going to the full voltage (4.8v) on the Ego with my Kanger t3s tank and it tasted fine until the 3rd-4th hit and it tasted really burnt so i tuned it down to 4-3.8v and its fine now, but is there a good or even better tank to use for this type of battery? Or an even better starter set-up to use? Any options are appreciated, i love a lot of vapor when i exhale! :2cool:

Well if you are ready to step up to a VV/VW vape that can read ohm's as well, but you're not really sure or don't have the money, you could go with an Innokin iTaste MVP 2.0. I just ordered one a few days ago and it cost me around $42 with free shipping off eBay. Or if you just want to get a new tank for your twist, I'd suggest maybe a Kanger Protank. I had the Protank Mini 2 for a few days until I lost it :( but it was a great tank.

so my first comment is that simply turning the voltage up to 4.8 was a mistake... I can turn the voltage up to 4.8 but if the atomizer head is 1.8 ohms I'm going to fry my juice in a few seconds... as you did. You need to know the resistance (ohms) of the atomizer head before dialing in the voltage on the device...

The eGo Twist is a great starter device- as for a clearo that works weel on it, I'd say the mini ProTank 2. I have 2 eGo's with mini's on them that I use for work... but you MUST set the voltage to the resistance of your atomizer head. If your using a ProTank 3 right now then its about 90% that the reisstance is 2 Ohms which would take voltage og about 4.2 or 4.3 to produce a good vape...

hope that helps.

As for the vapor when you exhale- thats going to be determined by the juice you use more than anything... the higher the VG the more vapor.

Yeah i started from the lowest voltage and worked my way up, and when i got to the highest, it didnt taste burnt and was working fine until the 3rd-4th hit, then i toned it down and it works fine, the Kanger t3s that i have has a 2.2 Ohm head, and i have it at exactly 4v right now and it is working fine, and i heard that the Kanger pro tank 3 has 2 atomizer heads which equal to 4.0 ohms, which i saw on a chart should be fine around even 5-5.5 volts? but im still in the learning process with the voltage-ohm stuff, just trial and error.

hello slyider1, welcome to ECF

yepper with VV batteries ALWAYS start low, then turn up power
until it gets where you want
worry about big clouds after you get the hang of it

here is the iTaste MVP and mini protank
and iTaste vv v3

Someone may correct me but the fact that its dual coil doesnt mean you can turn the voltage up double... I have a PT3 that is 2.0 and I run it at about 4.3 or 4.4 volts on a Provari... if I were to crank it to 5 I'd burn the crap out of it in no time.

Thank you for the links! Can learn some new stuff :), But what does the VW (Variable wattage) Do? I dont understand that at all, i just got the hang of VV, now VW gets thrown in and i have no idea what that does!

VW is just another variable. Basically auto correct the voltage for your atomizer. If you like your vape at 4 volts with a 2 ohm coil then that's 8 watts (volts squared divided by ohms). If you change coils to like a 2.5 then the VW programming will automatically adjust your voltage to about 4.5. Just a real easy way to keep your vape dialed in once you have it set where you like it.

yepper, just as stated

vw is same as vv - just a measure of power output

again the rule is 'start low, increase to desired setting'
