New to Vaping

Just wanted to introduce myself and say that I am looking forward to learning about modding and ridding myself of the dependance of cigarettes.
After coming from Atlanta back to Tucson, I am finding that I want to quit smoking to hike and do more outside, not to mention that my kids and wife wanted me to quit.
I heard about vaping about a few years ago, and finally see how well it's growing.
I currently have been using a cig drip from the Indian tobacco store, and then upgraded to a used vision model.
I do use a Kanger evod 1000 mah battery with the vision clearomizer on occasion. looking to get either a mini pro tank 2 or just the EVOD tank for now.
Thanks for all the welcomes and input from everyone.

Welcome and congratulations!

You mentioned you are considering Mini ProTank2's. My wife and I use them, between us we have about 6 or 7, and are very satisfied. I prefer the taste of juice out of a glass clearo versus plastic (kind of like beer from a bottle versus a can). Every ten days to two weeks I totally break them down, throw them into some warm soapy water, rinse, dry and good to go! The coils are very easy to make and can be "dry burned" (check out YouTube for video instructions).

Of course, everyone's taste is different, but they work well for us.

Welcome, and congrats on taking this journey to being tobacco free. After 25+ years and 2.5 pack a day, I'm now over 110 days without them. If I can do it, so can you.

I'd like to second Lurch's comments about the Kanger Mini Protanks. We have 6 of the Mini Protank 3, as well as 4 of the full sized models, and love them. I credit those tanks, as well as the iClear16 for getting me to quit. I started on the eGo-T and upgraded to the Vision Spinner. The Spinner is a great tool, allowing you to adjust your voltage to personalize your experience.

Welcome Ben :)

I have one mini PT2 and a bunch of EVODs. I do build my own coils, and that at least has helped with flavor for *me*. I like the glass, in case I have a potential "tank-cracker" juice. I do notice that it seems to "guzzle" juice more quickly than my EVODs.

You don't have to rebuild - the coils aren't *too* expensive to just pitch and go. However, you can extend their lives - dry-burn as Lurch recommends. At a bare minimum, I used to throw a coil into a splash of unflavored vodka overnight. Rinse and air-dry. Throw back in, prime, and ready to go once again.

Good luck, and don't be a stranger
