The crackling sound is perfectly normal. The screen scrolling probably is also, but I don't have an iStick 50 so I don't want to swear to it. On most of my regulated mods, the numbers move when the button is pushed. The deal is, when the button is off, the display shows the settings. When it is pushed it shows what's actually happening in real time. And yeah, that can move around some. It's probably actually volts that are moving around, not amps. As the coil wire heats, it changes it's resistance-- all metals do this to some extent-- and thus the volts have to move to keep the set watts in the same place. See Ohm's Law for a complete statement...

Hi. Just got an istick 50w. first vaping product. When I push the button to fire it, the screen starts scrolling rapidley thru amps. is this supposed to happen
My istick 40 screen scrolls but the value is in "S" meaning seconds or duration of vape. Are you sure you see the Amps changing? If so, you have a bad unit. Might want to contact the seller.

Also, I have an Atlantis 2 tank on and it makes a kracklling sound as the v numers are scolling?

Sometimes I accidently up the wattage and I get a crackling sound. At what setting are you vaping at? Ohms, Volts/wattage?

You might take your rig down the local brick and mortar vape shop and show them the problems. I'm sure they will help and explain the in and outs.

first vaping product.
Kind of hard being a new vaper and starting out with advance vape equipment. Hang in there.
