Hey guys im new to vaping and so far I just been learning so much new stuff. It's been really fun so far, learning to build for my rda and stuff. The only thing I can't get my mind to understand is batteries in series/parallel. My mod smy 260 takes three in series and I'm using mxjo 18650 which says 35a but research tells me it's 20a continuous. Does that mean I can go up to 150 watts (not that I will, just for fun sometimes).(150/2.5)/3 150=watts, 2.5=volts when batteries are low and 3 since I have three batteries. I should be safe within my limits right?

Hello and welcome to the forum @raypro112. Glad to have you here!

Check to see if @Mooch as done a bench test on your MOJO cell (5th link below), then check out the 1st link below for calculating current draw. Most mods will not fire when the voltage goes below 3.0 - 3.2 volts.

Here are links to some of Mooch's blogs:

The proper way to figure the battery draw on a regulated mod is (set watts) / (discharge battery voltage x number of batteries). For your example, and assuming your SMY kicks batteries out at 3.2V as being too low to run, 150 / 9.6 = 15.625 amperes. You should also add a bit-- 5-10%-- for efficiency losses on the board. 15.625 x 1.05 = 16.4 amperes. See Mooch's blog here: Calculating battery current draw for a regulated mod | E-Cigarette Forum
Whether or not this is safe will depend on which MXJO batteries you have. the 2500 or 2800 mAh MXJO yellows batteries Mooch rates at 20 amps and should work. If you have the 3000 mAh yellow/silvers, Mooch rates these at 15+ amps and I wouldn't try quite that high. If you mod kicks your batteries out at a higher voltage-- 3.5, whatever-- the amp draw will be a little less.
