I recently started using a few days ago I went to a smoke shop bought some no name PV. I really didnt like it, it didnt hit well the taste wasn't to my liking.

I decided to do some research and found a vendor local to me that specializes in it. I got a smoov rev battery w/ variable settings and a EVO BCC thingie for the top. I am alot happier with it. Although I experiance headaches with it and nervousness with it after I use it. I tried moving from 18mg to a 12mg which doesnt seem to help. Do most people just take a hit or 2 and thats it? I would like something that I am able to mimic my normal smoking habits.

The device I have seems to work good however I would like something thats smaller for when I go to a bar and power puff on. I have read some things about 808 and 510. I think the store I went to carries some smoov 808 models and was wondering people experiance with it.

I will say even with some of the discomfort I was smoking almost 2 packs a day and in the last 48hrs I have only had 9 cigs :)

808's are a good device to take along with you and it might give you a lighter hit that it sounds like you might need if that is what is actually causing the headache . My guess is it's actually the reduction in other chemicals you were getting. "Quiters sickness" Others might tell you to try different bases as far as pg/vg to see if that is the cause.
I liked my 808 for what it was worth, just got tired of the battery life being so short.

Hello,

I think that I might be able to help you out a little bit. When I first started using e cigs about 4 years ago I also got slight headaches and became a little anxious, but it stopped happening after a week or so. I wouldn't worry about that unless symptoms get worse or don't stop after a few weeks. As far as just taking a hit or two, I myself and just about everyone I know who uses these take way more than two hits at a time. I will pretty much smoke my e cig all day long if I have it near me lol. If you are looking for a smaller device I would take a look at the joye 510. Most of them are pretty high quality and they are very easy to maintain since they are only a two piece device. I'm glad to hear you already cut down to only 9 cigarettes! Good luck!

Welcome, and hang in there. Keep in mind that our bodies were used to getting much more (all bad stuff) from cigs than just nicotine. It took me several days to get over the worst of it and about 2 weeks to get over all of it. All in all it was still the easiest thing I've ever done in an attempt (and success this time) to quit smoking. The fact that you've cut back almost 90% is HUGH!!! Everyone is different. Don't think that you have to quit smoking in the same time frame as someone else. Do it your own way, in your own time.

You will get used to how to use your PV. Your body will tell you when it needs nicotine. When it does, vape away. I smoked about 1 pack per day and use 18mg juice. I find that it works well for me unless I vape too much close to bedtime. (Then I have weird, vivid dreams.)

It took me 4 weeks to realize I awful I actually felt the first 3 weeks after quitting analogs and going to vaping. I was honestly in a fog and full of anxiety, but didn't realize it because I was in a fog and full of anxiety!

Yes, I got those headaches too..but I am blaming all my quitting ailments on QUITTING.

You will feel better when you reach your 4 week mark...I was smoking 1-1.5 packs of reds when I quit cold turkey, and this after smoking nonstop after 38 years. YOU CAN DO IT.

Drink lots of fluids, because vaping tends to dehydrate you. That is probably what you are feeling as far as the headaches.

You're body is getting used to not having all those chemicals from the cigs, so it will take a while. Relax with the ejuice and vape as much as you need, just keep hydrating yourself as you go along. It will get better. In the beginning I vaped non stop when I needed to. Not just 2 or 3 puffs, but dozens and dozens until I felt the nicotine hit me - you will know when it does it to you. LOL

And, congratulations!

If you are rocking 24mg e-juice and chain vaping you can get ALOT of nicotine, its in small doses but constantly where smoking cigs you would kinda spike your levels then it would go down in your system

I was a 1 PAD "ultralight" smoker (failed attempt to quit smoking go figure) and rock 18mg e-juice, took me a week for the urge to burn an analog to subside enough to where it wasn't annoying

Keep going man...I made it and I smoked for 18+ years

I got a "mid sized" unit called a Totally Wicked Tornado RCS which uses a 16650 battery vs the 18650 batteries...its sleeker and less noticeable...about the size of a cigar vs the size of a mag light

P.S. The 510 is a "thread" design that is pretty much the industry standard now
20pcs-the-connector-the-thread-510-510-or.jpg

Smaller side poking out is 510, the inner threads on the larger portion is for the "evo" type threads

Also, proper technique for using a "Personal Vape" is to puff it rather than a long lung filling drag like you used to do with an analog

I managed to stop in mid April . I was rolling my own with pipe tobacco , so i was smoking more than i was actually smoking , since i wasnt using 'reds' but something stronger . I wound up getting some 36mg nicotine and was going through almost 10 ml a day . My body was just wanting the water i was drinking on top of the 1 gal of sweet tea i was drinking a day . I got a nic buzz a time or 2 the first few weeks not realizing i was hitting 12-15 ml of juice in a day . Of course if you look at what i was vaping and the mg of nicotine , you would think WOW , almost a carton a day worth the nicotine . Not really , i was still only getting what my analogs were giving me otherwise i would have had a nic buzz constantly or had other adverse effects from excessive nicotine intake .

Best of Luck on your attempt to stop smoking , vaping worked for me . just took me almost 3 years to figure out what i wasnt doing right . Donnie
