Both are highly rated on this site. Two parts- V4L or three parts- ego-T. I am guessing you already know the differences in the batteries, and the tank vs the cartomizer.
Personally, I have the KR808D-1 like V4L sells. Within a couple weeks vaping I was looking for longer lasting batteries. I purchased a MEGA battery that was longer and more mAh by 100. It is better, last longer. But I still was not satisfied with just the cartomizers. The volume of juice they held left me wanting more.
Now just one month after switching to vaping only, I have ordered a REO.
For me it was about the juice in the PV and a longer lasting battery.

It depends on what you want and need. I like to switch flavors and I am almost always near AC power. I have chargers at work and at home. I also vape 2 PVs and I'm a moderate vaper, not a heavy vapor. I use Vapor4Life (add add liquid so a carto can last for 4-7 days) and I use 510 or 510 mega w/ Boge soft-cap carto blanks, both with manual batteries so I can drip if I want with an atty.

Tanks - lotta juice but apparently they also use juice pretty fast. Some people have problems with the tanks like lack of flavor, wicking issues or leaks. The tanks are new. The EGo base model (battery and charger) is an excellent choice as is Riva 510 if you want extra long battery life and the ability to use harder-hitting hotter low resistance parts. You cannot use those parts on slim ecig batteries.

Some people are perfectly satisfied with 510 or KR808D-/Vapor4Life. Some need or want more. You need to make a guess at which you are.

I don't think you can go wrong with either pv. I might think about ordering cartomizers with the ego-T if you go that route. Some people have issues with the tanks. But the battery lasts forever and you get a great TH.

V4L kr808 is great also. Draw is a little harder than the ego, and not quite the TH. But still good pv. Get the XL manual batteries. Some people don't want a big TH.

I think you'll be happy with either, depending on your needs.

I like the concept of the ego-t, but I think they need to improve a few things before I'd buy one. The primer on the atomizer has to go. It's really nasty and can't be cleaned off, you have to vape it off, which is set back number 1. 2. you can't chew on the mouth end or hold it in your mouth bc the thing inside the mouthpiece will come out of the tank. So I'll stick to V4L's 808. The idea of a tank without filler material is great, just needs improved on. IMO

You may consider the $19.95 510 compatible "Freedom 5" at MFS and save yourself a few bucks.
Freedom 5 Kit Starter Kit - My Freedom Smokes
You can get an additional 25% off by using the coupon code "MARCH MADNESS".

I only mention this because it is so inexpensive. It's the cheapest starter kit I have ever seen(not including disposables), and since it's 510 it will be compatible with eGo stuff if you wanna upgrade in the future. I haven't read any reviews on this e-cig or used it myself so I can't tell you how good it is. Just saying, you know... it would be a super cheap way to enter the world of 'e-cigs'.

You can also get a genuine Joye 510 kit at cignot for $35.

It's a very popular PV as well, but IMO carts suck and you'd need to pick up some cartomizers too...

I know this is kind of off-topic in a way, as these are neither KR808's or eGo-T's, but I just hate seeing new vapers spending more money than they have to to enter the world of vaping. Justs a 'heads up' on a few good deals out there. Just trying to help, good luck to you.

I wrote my own story about finding a starter kit here the most important thing is to get started vaping and then let new stuff and the vaping experience be your journey. My confusion to the different models kept me stalemated for an extra couple months and a lady here finally told to just jump in. Best advice I ever got, and I'm passing it to you ;)

The exact same thing happened to me!

1. Primer cleaned out just fine with water alone.
2. The tank is sealed off from the inside of the mouthpiece. There is no "thing" to come off.

He's talking about the 2 very small inserts at the mouth end of the tank. The first thing I do is pull both off so I don't accidently choke one down. This will not cause it to leak. It also increases vaper and taste a bit.

That makes sense. I pulled all of mine because I find it draws easier that way.

This is a good tip. I just pulled mine and find that it does draw easier and I get more of a TH. BTW: new to vaping and to the forum. I'm glad I found this place, but the amount of info is dizzying! :)
