New triton tank leaks

Take the coil out and see if the black in color o-ring/gasket in the coils thread is present, and/ or seated properly. Overfilling the tank can cause juice to run down the tanks center post too, and then reach the battery poles (wet poles).

Also, the transparent silicone sleeve on the coil, which seales the coil and tank with the mouth piece is sometimes not pushed down far enough, or cut too short from the factory, so that the silicone sleeve can't seal with the wicks a little, which can cause light leaks too. If the wicks don't get slightly squeezed together and pushed against the coil housing and the silicone sleeve, then a little bit of juice can leak from the tank into the center post/air pipe. Or in other words, some juice bypasses the wicks due to the play the wicks have in the coil body. But if the wicks get too much squeezed, then your wicks might not get resupplied with juice fast enough to rewick. So the right amount of "wick squezze" is needed, lol. Hope everything makes sense. My English still needs some improvement.

Nope...I've been fortunate to never have a tank leak. I have gone through probably 15-20 of them and have 8 loaded right now...zero leaks.

Me neither. I did have one tank with a coil/head assembly that was DOA, but those are cheap to replace. I own eight Triton tanks, which are constantly in (rotating) use.

It's entirely possible the OP got a defective part, but he might try messing around with it a little before he gives up on the whole tank. It sounds like he might've just dripped some juice into the wrong place, or the sleeve on the center post isn't seated properly, as described by Made in Austria.

If your coil (inside the tank) isn't screwed down fully, it may leak: remove the tip, and check it.

New coils need their sleeve shoved down a bit: when you can, (you must have less than 2.0 mL in the tank to do this), remove the coil (it unscrews) and push the plastic sleeve down, over the wicks.

After you get used to cleaning these, you'll never have this problem.

Yes, there is probably a leak in the bottom area of the tank. Could be a foulty or missing silicone sleeve, which seals and holds the tanks center post in place. That sleeve can be seen if you remove the battery and look into the bottom part of the tank. I think it's time to replace the tank. This will fix your leaking problem dor sure.

I have had leaking from one of mine. One thing I notice is when you unscrew the drip tip it sometimes unscrews the head with it. Always make sure you tighten the head back after filling to be sure. Another thing I noticed is on both of the Triton tanks I have got the post with the head attached is not perfectly straight. Seesm to lean a little to one side.

Ok I emptied the tank rinsed it out .then after a day of drying replaced with a new coil and filled. Now after around an hour you can see a bead of juice developing where the bottom of the plastic meats the metal threads.

So it wasn't inside it's the bottom outside. Here is a pic you can see the bead on the bottom of the metal.
