If you look at the 'theory' of the tank construction, it should be a good idea. I find when the battery is too tight I get leaks onto the battery. I've also noticed the top ring will start to separate and seep juice after awhile if overtightened on the battery. The wicks are not the best and cant handle being messed with much. I've had some luck adding one or two strands of an old wick on the top, adding more stuff to seal better. The only way I can avoid the leaking frustration all together is replace the coil head. I hate replacing anything that in all theory just needs a good clean, unfortunately they don't take to too many cleanings imo. I'm also finding the juice is finding a way around the glue at the bottom ring and seeping on a few tanks I have. In all I'm only satisfied with 75% of the Triton tanks I have. I have gotten into recoiling and rewicking all my leaky heads with 2mm braided wick with good success. I would say that most of the leaking problems, but not all, is wick related. They are not the best tanks out there especially for the money they want for them. When they work, they work great, just too inconsistent for me. I've moved on to a drier, much more consistent solution. Not sorry I did.

Interesting. I am using the Triton battery. I will try not to tighten as far. Thanks, all!
