Tbh, the hardcaps don't bother me at all now that I can open 'em:

You gotta get the tine under the very bottom edge of the cap, and then brace against the opposite side of the top of the carto so you don't stress the weak plastic across the top.
Ben needs to correct this situation and compensate all who bought these thinking they were buying softcaps. If I were him I'd make the manufacture reimburse him.
