Hi, i've been sniffing around the forums for a few days so thought i'd post and say hello :)

I've had my 901 since yesterday and so far I think it's pretty good, not amazing but good, it's at least got me off analogues!

I have a few questions though, I was hoping to post in the UK forum as most of the questions are about UK supplies but for some reason it won't let me. Anyway here are my questions:

1. Can you get round cartridges for these? I don't really like the whistle looking ones and plus I keep getting liquid in my mouth which tastes a bit gak.

2. I seem to be refilling quite alot, i'd say around 10 a day at the moment! is this normal? what's a good sign that the juice is running empty?

3. What's some decent juice to get in the UK? I got some from liberty flights but i'm not all that impressed with them really, maybe my taste buds are too shot to **** to really. If it helps I used to smoke lucky strikes, richmond menthols and drum gold tobacco. So any UK suppliers for tastes close to them would be helpful. At the moment i've tried menthol, Malboro, B&H and Kent. Kent seems to be the best but I can't really tell much difference between them, menthol being the exception.

4. Tying in with the other questions, what's the best (read cheapest) all round supplier of 901 atomizers and batteries? I'll shop abroad if it's cheaper.

Cheers :)

Hi Slofe - given you a few answers below, hope that helps.

I believe the earlier 901s had round tips but I'm not sure if you can get those carts anymore. The round carts for the 510 do fit however but they can be a bit loose and could fall off in your pocket or leak.

If you're getting liquid in your mouth then you could be overfilling the cartridge and flooding the atomiser. When you fill it you need to make sure the core is soaked but not forming a pool on top. Also with the 901 it helps to take a small primer puff before the main drag and then take a slow and steady toke, just hard enough to keep the led alight. If you breath in too hard and you've overfilled then juice can get into your mouth.

2. I seem to be refilling quite alot, i'd say around 10 a day at the moment! is this normal? what's a good sign that the juice is running empty?

It's hard to say really as it depends on how much you smoked. With the 901 I generally topped up the cartridge with a couple of drops after a few ciggies worth of puffs.

The tobacco flavours don't taste anything like smoking and can take a while to get used to. I think you're probably right about the taste buds thing, I couldn't stand those flavours for months. Have you thought about trying some non-tobacco flavours for a bit and see how you get on with those? I really like Totally Wicked's coconut flavour but now I mainly use Virginia.

The multi-packs from Totally Wicked are a good deal if you can cope with not having the warranty. These chinese suppliers also have a good reputation:

Hi Slofe - given you a few answers below, hope that helps.

Cheers for that matter. I seem to have got the hang of direct dripping now and it's superb :). Nice one on the china websites too, I just ordered loads of juice and a few spare parts, probably saved me about £15 if I ordered them in the UK, and that includes shipping. Doesn't appear to be much difference in price for spare parts, only about a quid or too but it's definitely the nuts for juice, 10 ml bottles for about £2.20 :D
