Long story short... received first package of short-wick replacement heads for Vision/Stardust. Curious me touches wick to feel texture (was wondering if soft or stiff). One side of wick just falls off.

Do I toss out $2.95, or is it worth the eye strain and frustration trying to get it back together and working?

Are they all really THIS touchy? How do they survive a water-rinse cleaning and coil de-chunking???

There seem to be several different wick 'systems' for these heads. The first ones I got had a wick going through the coil and 2 wicks sitting on the coil Maybe you have this type, you could try to put it back by taking off the plastic hood, putting the wick on the coil and putting the hood back so it holds the wick in place.
The current ones I have are long wick, a thick and a thin one which both go through the coil, and don't fall apart when you touch them :)

Thank you! All the pieces are sitting on top of a dresser ... while I look for that pair of dinky little tweezers I have, someplace!
