Hello folks! I guess it's time for me to use e-cigs! I normally just smoke 1-2 sticks a day (sometimes none) up to 8 sticks a night at work (depending who I work with). Still, I want to stop and my girlfriend is nagging me! I need recommendations for which ecig or vaporizer to get. I'm looking for something similar to a real cigarette by heat/taste/vapor/throat and lung feel.

I've looked into these ones but they have different models and I don't know which one to get and WHICH vendor. I would also like to know which flavors come close to "marlboro lights" as well as other good flavored ones!

joyetech - eGo, eGO-T, eGo-C. Which one will suit my taste?

Thank you!

Hi and welcome to ECF.

You are a light smoker so a cig like PV would prolly be best.
I'm looking for something similar to a real cigarette by heat/taste/vapor/throat and lung feel.
Some of this does have to do with the PV but mostly with the juice.

Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%- could be higher or lower depending on the flavor used.
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH (throat hit), lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG.

These are slightly larger than a cig sized PV. I would recommend the Volt from Smokeless Image as you are a light smoker. They are ECF listed/ verified ( they must abide by a code of ethics to remain listed here) have a HUGE and loyal following and prolly the best CS in the industry.

Hi firstep,
I'll second the recommendation for Smokeless Image - I have some myself and found them very good. I used to smoke 45 cigs a day so I think they would suit you fine as a light smoker wanting to swap to vaping.

You need two batteries, one to charge while you use the other one. There are automatics and manuals - the manuals have alittle push button, and give you more control. Some people prefer the autos - just draw on it.

Here's a link to their starter kits:
Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

The Standard kit would probably suit your needs. I'd recommend getting the 78mm batteries - still ciggish size but more battery life. They last about 2.5 hours of actual use.

If you want an ego size battery they have those as well - including a variable voltage spinner:
Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt Spinners - Variable Voltage Battery

So you can upgrade to a bigger size battery and it will be compatible with your Smokeless Image attachments.

I'd recommend starting with some regular size cartomizers:
Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Those are blank ones you can fill with your own juice - you can also buy them prefilled to try out flavors, or get a sample pack.

Here's a pic showing you the sizes next to a cigarette, click on the pic for a bigger view:

If you buy blank cartomizers you can use juice from any vendor. Buy small bottles, 5-15 ml and try out different flavors.
There are coupon codes also -
10VOLTECF for 10% off entire purchase
CompareOur808d for 15% off cartomizers only

I don't have any affiliation with Smokeless Image, but have used their ecigs and they kept me off cigarettes. All the best!

Well done. Get some cartomizers. For an Ego 2.0 ohm single coil cartomizers are good. Atomizers + cartridges is old tech. Atomizers by themselves are useful for flavor testing, but cartomizers are better for vaping.

Another thing i forgot to ask. Are atomizers/cartidges disposable? How about cartomizers?

-thanks

I have a DCT tank setup that uses cartomizers. (Mine are called boges and are Standard resistance) i usually get a week or so out of a cartomizer before the flavor goes bad, and i throw them away.. I understand there are ways to clean them, but honestly, they are only 2-3$ and well worth it in my opinion.

They come in punched and un punched style the punched is for a tank setup like mine.

Just stay away from Blu. All three of my batteries died in the first week. Total waste of money. I have a Joye vision 2.0 clearomizer and an ego-t upgrade batt now and i'm really happy with it. The clearomizer is great because it's rebuildable, you can get new heads that just screw on inside the 'mizer for like $5 for 2 of them, or you can rebuild the heads with nichrome/silica.
