I recently bought a Tececig starter kit with two e-cigs (KR808's). I am a pack/day smoker. I have been using my e-cig about 50% of the time and still find myself wanting a real cigarette. It has been a struggle...at the suggestion from someone else, I ordered some higher mg (24mg) cartridges with added flavor and I'm still waiting on it to come in. I seem to get tired of the dull tobacco flavor after a few hours and then want a real one.

I love the vapor that I get about 50% of the time but the rest of the time it does not give off much. So I am wondering if anyone else has used this brand and whether you think I need to change my cartridges more often. I smoke each cartridge until I get either the burn flavor or it stops giving a vape.

Looking forward to learning more!

I don't have that brand, but I do have an 808. With my model I get most of my vapor production within the first two or three hours of a fresh battery. I still get good vapor all day, but the first two hours is the best. I also top off my cartomizers every few hours just to be sure that I have plenty of juice and get the best vapes.
My batts have lasted me about 6-7 hours each, so they keep me going pretty much all day. This is based on just over three days of vaping though.

What cartos or juice are you using? If you want more hit and heat I recommend Vapor4Life WOW cartos and high PG juices (no more than 20% VG). Some of the Vapor4Life WOW juices also have a lot of hit (try their WOW tobacco sampler which is already in WOW cartos) And I like their WOW Vanilla.

And if that isn't enough for you then slim ecigs are not for you. You need to go fat battery or mod so you have over 450mah charge and can use the hotter LR parts.

Also - if you have not spent some time shopping around for juices then start. You may try 50 juices before you find one that really clicks and makes you go ahhh with it flavor/aroma and hit.

What kind of cigs - maybe someone will have a suggestion of you can search via Google like this

site:e-cigarette-forum.com Yourbrand

(substitute the name of your brand)

Also - remember to smell the vapor. Cigs dump their aroma all over you. But with ecigs you have to remember to smell the vapor. And pay attention to whether any flavor types leave you with an analog craving. Some people cannot vape food flavors when they start vaping. Some cannot vape tobacco flavors. If either of those leaves you with a craving then stop using that kind of flavor alone for now. I could not do food flavors alone until 2 months into vaping. Before that I had to mix them into a tobacco if I wanted to have the flavor.

And if your nicotine is not high enough, you could consider some higher. BTW if you want a funky butty and somewhat pungent juice that reminds many of the smell of a freshly opened pack, try FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship - maybe it will work when you have an analog craving.

One other note - as long as you smoke cigs you are not getting rid of the chemicals in cigs that make nicotine more addictive.

Checked out your site, and I hate to say it but you seem to have been ripped off
with what they are charging for an 808.
Don't feel bad most of us started with an overpriced piece of junk before finding ECF. :)

The loss of flavor and vapor can be from either not enough liquid left in the carto or
not enough juice left in the battery. Both easy to fix, drip some e-liquid into the carto
and switch / charge the battery.

For supplies check out Smoklessimage dot com, or another registered supplier from here.
The front page of the forum lists the suppliers that are registered, used by and held to
a high standard by the ECF membership. They have good customer service, fair pricing,
and will go the extra mile to help a newbie.

p.s. WELCOME TO ECF !! :)

Don't feel bad about the $$. It led you to trying something that will take you off of the analogs. Your health is priceless and 1/2 the fun is discovering different stuff here. A bit pricy out of the gate but you will get situated and the costs will taper off.

I upgraded a few times and am finally very satisfied with vaping. All of the costs combined are less than 1 hospital stay for a cigarette related health issue.

Good Luck and Welcome! The vets here have great advice about equipment and juices - you're in good hands.

...vape the cartos only about half of what you are doing, not until it gets dry or burnt tasting...while I don't use that brand/model(and recommend others), I try not to vape my cartos down to below the 50-75% level before topping them up to keep flavor/vapor production up and to extend the longevity of the carto.......

I use the Tececig brand. Started off with the Revolution and actually, me, my girlfriend, and my daughter have all quit smoking analogs with it. Good little product. I received the Phoenix model just a couple of weeks ago, and its like night and day. Very happy with the Phoenix now. Great battery life, Good setup, and great service from Tececig. I recommend it to any new vapor not wanting to climb the vaping ladder by trying less than stellar models only to find their not satisfied with the results, then having to buy yet another one and so on.
