To answer your question, the Protank 3 mini might be a bit better than the CE4. It has a replaceable bottom coil and has a glass tank. The problem is that the Protank 3 is dual coil and your Ego battery might not have enough power to make much of a difference. A Protank 2 mini would work better, it uses a single coil, but I didn't see any on that site.

It is a generic eGo-T rip off 1100mAh. Not much more info provided though as it was bought online. Dunno if that helps?

No, the protank line is the predecessor of the subtank. Protank though, I believe doesn't require you to get a new battery? They run fine on those little sticks if I remember right.... As far as getting into advanced mods, it's quite expensive to start off tbh, but it pays off when you realize how much flavor you've been missing!! OK so for someone new to APV (advanced personal vaporizer) you would need the following-liquid (duh) batteries for the mod (a mod houses the batteries) most take 18650 batteries, but you can find smaller mods that use smaller ones as well, just pick the mod you like and see description for battery requirements. Next you need the mod itself, and a battery charger. For coils, you can buy some Pre-made coils, or buy the wire. (kanthal is most widespread use) finally you need the atomizer to go on the mod and you are all set.

@New_Vape - For the first 2 years of vaping (during & after I got off the smokes), I used nothing bigger/more powerful than the eGo 1100mAh batteries. I used a few different types of clearos/tanks on them (a few CE-5 clearos that were wickless, plus the following that I still use with my mods now - Innokin 16D clearos w/dual coils, Protank Mini II tanks w/single coils, and Protank Mini III tanks w/dual coils). For those tanks that had replaceable coils...I used anything from 1.5ohm-2.4ohm coils. I had no problems with any of those clearos/tanks, and using them with the 1100mAh eGo batteries I had. I definitely got enough vapor, the taste was good, etc. Kept me satisfied fine using just those, and I'd been a 1 - 1 1/2 pack a day smoker for 40+ years! So, based upon my own experience with them...I'd give any of those, or the Evod tanks, a shot with your eGo batteries, too. :)

If you are looking at Evod tanks, check out the Evod Glass. It is reasonably priced, and my daughter and I like it better than the Protanks that we had originally gotten.

Evod Glass comes with a Kanger dual coil. However, you can use an Evod Glass tank with a Kanger single coil - I am using one right now. Whether you use single or dual coils on it, your battery should not have a problem with this tank. Before we upgraded our batteries at Christmas, we were using the Evod Glass tanks on Kanger Evod 650 mah batteries, and had absolutely no problems with the battery being able to handle dual coils. My daughter prefers the dual coils, I prefer the single coils.

My daughter recently invested in a Nautilus Mini tank for herself, and she is really enjoying it. Once things settle down financially for our family, I plan to get one for myself.

Please remember that regular Evod or Evod 2 tanks are plastic, and some eliquids can damage or destroy plastic tanks. The Evod Glass, like the Protanks, is glass, and can handle any eliquid. The Nautilus Mini is also glass, and seems to be very well regarded here on ECF. Just be sure, if you get the Nautilus Mini, to get the BVC replacement coils, not the BDC coils.

I have been recommended the Nautilus more than any other option so far so this is definitely my first option right now, just gotta wait for payday, been a rough month \:0/ but thankfully I got a much deserved and rather delayed raise this month so I feel I should treat myself to my first upgrade [emoji1] ! I was considering an MVP 2.0 but I see the 3.0 is out, anyone know if it's worth the extra $10/R150? Or is there a better box I could get for R800/$52/£37/€47?
