Well I've been vaping exclusively now for a little over a month now with a 650 mah joyetech ego-c twist and some evods and has worked very well for me.

But I'm the type of person who has to keep moving. I'm like a gypsy. I get bored easily and was ready for the next step up. So again I went to the forums for a few good days of reading reviews and experiences and came up with the itaste MPV 2.0.

So far its awesome. I love playing with the variable wattage/voltage settings. Not to fond of the puff counter (damn do I vape alot) but solid construction and pretty portable too for the size.

I want to get up passed 8 on the wattage just to see how cool it is but seem to get a burnt taste from any juice/evod/iclear16 combo I have tried. Any suggestions on what juice or coil combo to use to achieve the 11 watt mark. Just gor fun.

Anyway thanks for checking in on me and once I get outta the new member board I will be sure to direct all further MVP questions to the official thread.
Thanks again
Just Jess

No suggestion on the juice got get up that high, but as a newbie myself to vw mods, I like 6.5 with my 2.0-2.5 evods and iclear16. Of course I did have to push it up to 10 or so to see what it tasted like and it was kind of sour. Didn't like it. 7.0 wasn't too bad either, but the throat hit was a bit too much at this time, but I can see as time progresses I could be moving up to 7.0 or 7.5 watts. What color MVP did you get?

The clearo is probably the problem when it comes to burnt taste at higher wattages. I can't run eVods at a wattage above about 7.5 or I get that burnt taste. With carto tanks or my RBA/RDAs, I can run 15 watts from my SVD with no issues at all.

I would suggest getting a cheap carto tank, like a Smok DCT, and giving that a try. It should solve your problem.

Kris- thanks for the reply. What about just a carto. With no tank. Does that hit the same? I was always a little confused by that. I mean the carto inside the tank is just a regular carto but with holes in it for the juice in the tank to keep the wicking material wet right?

That's exactly right. The tank is for added capacity.

If you want to use a plain carto, you can certainly do that. Be sure to keep it saturated so you don't get dry hits.

If you're concerned about expense, cartos on their own are a couple of bucks, but most places carry the Smok DCT locking tank for $9 or so, and it usually includes a carto.

You'll need a 510 drip tip to go with any carto you choose.

Love my MVP 2 as well.... I also use the PT2 at 8 watts on 80/20 with no burnt flavor.

What voltage do you have the MVP set at when you vape at 8W? Thanks!

This doesn't matter. You're either in wattage mode or voltage mode. They don't work at the same time.

When you set the MVP or any other VW device to a certain wattage, it adjusts the voltage to achieve that wattage with whatever resistance it detected. It doesn't matter what you had the voltage set to before going into the VW mode.

Power = voltage squared divided by resistance

When you switch most VW devices out of the VW mode into the VV mode, they are set at whatever the device chose for voltage in the power mode. Since I don't have a MVP, I don't know if it does that or if it remembers the setting you had when you were last in the VV mode.
