Hello ECF community. I am 2nd day caper from Texas. I am in my 20s and was "blessed" as a child to have a parent that didn't mind smoking. Therefore I was a pack a day smoker by time I was legally able to buy them. About 6 months ago I decided it was time to quit due to kids and a killer job. I purchased one of those farm truck exhaust pipe "cig a likes" from the mall and immediately started chewing tobacco. Well needless to say I quickly got up to a 2 can a day habit and decided it was enough. Yesterday I bought an H20 Ego wick less e cig with a 900mah battery from the gas station. So far I love it and haven't picked up a dip yet. It looks and acts similar to some of the high end brands I see on here. I am gunna stick around and gain all of the knowledge I can. I'm taking this not as a quitting approach but as a new hobby approach. I believe this is a standard 510 clearomizer type. It has a 1.6 ml clear tank. Will all the brands of clearomizers and batts fit it?

Hi and welcome!

Congrats on your success with your new "hobby"! Your family will appreciate having you healthier and around for a long time.

Your unit has ego threading (on the outside), if it has 510 threading also you should see threading on the inside. Almost every clearomizer or tank will be one or the other. If yours isn't threaded for 510, you can always get an adapter.

Hey, and welcome to the forum. I was actually born in Midland, Texas, yea all those many years ago, but I've been an Okie now most of my life. Love to spend fun weekends in Dallas, though.

Glad you are making this wise decision as a young person. You have many healthy years ahead of you.:)

And chain vaping is perfectly okay. I do a little bit of it myself.

Thanks guys. I definitely plan on sticking around for awhile. Well I spilled my first full tank in my lap checking. Ok on the battery where it connects to the tank there is threads on the outside diameter but nothing for them to thread into on the inside of the tank. But also on the battery there's also a smaller nipple that sticks out that has threads on the inside diameter which is where it actually threads onto the clearomizer. So I'm guessing this thing is setup for standard ego as well as 510 correct?

Hi Kutchykoo. All eGo-class batteries come with dual 510/eGo threading, which means that any 510 and eGo threaded topper will work on your battery. That said, an eG battery is only 15 mm in diameter, so some of the big (19 and 22 mm) tanks will make your PV look rather top heavy. :D

Thanks for the help everyone. Now I know what I can and can't order. Is either one better? Like is 510 better than ego or does it not matter. Also I've looked up it but got mixed reviews on whether wick or wick less is better. I personally like wick less but it's all I've tried. No dry hits or bad taste so far

I've had very good luck with my egos using the Evod clearomizers with them. They work well, the replacement coils are cheap, and they are bottom coil (no top wicks.) They are relatively inexpensive so I can have several and keep them loaded with different juices to change throughout the day. Here is a link to a reliable vendor who has a good price on the Evods:

Kanger MT3s @ VapingME.com - colors galore!

If you use the code ECF at checkout, I think you can get 10% off, too.

Since you own a eGo battery, I'd recommend heads that are eGo-threaded because they will fit better--they are the same diameter (15mm) as your battery and they cover the outside threads. But any 510 threaded device will also work--might look a bit top heavy though. The threads can be covered with an eGo beauty ring.

All heads have wicks--some have long wicks like the iClear and ViVi Nova clearos; Kanger BCCs come with short wicks. Wicks are necessary for well, wicking. :p

I like single-coil, bottom coil replaceable clearomizers. Kanger BCCs is a good place to start--T3S, eVod, mini ProTank are all nice.

Good luck!

I just put in my order for a couple of kanger evods. I will probably order 1 or 2 of multiple brands just to have a variety. I will probably just go with e-go styled everything as 510 seems to be more for the big mod style vapes. Once again thank you everyone for the welcomes. I look forward to getting to know all of you (as best I can on a forum atleast). One question is, are all of you veteran vapers going to eventually quit or is this something yal plan on doing for awhile? I seeing myself picking this up as a habit/hobby for quite some time. I mean I know it's tons healthier than it's counterparts but is everyone on ECF working towards a no vaping goal?

Well, I for one smoked for all my adult life, 45 plus years. I'm absolutely delighted to be free of cigarettes after all that time. I have no plans whatsoever to quit vaping. It is very enjoyable, keeps me off the cigarettes, and I get to come here and talk to all of you nice folks!:)

I can only speak for myself, of course, but I have no idea. :D

I started vaping mostly because I needed something other than Nicorette to tide me over in those times/places when smoking was not allowed. I never even dared to dream that I could stop smoking--having tried and failed so many times in the past using all methods available from cold turkey to Wellbutrin...

I know several people who have gone all the way down to 0 nicotine and/or quit vaping altogether. But most enjoy vaping too much and like a little nic in their lives. ;)
