If you are dragging right into your lungs, try dragging into your mouth then inhale

Manuals give more control of your hit

Also try the SmokelessImage samplers (same model)

Harshness is usually nicotine level and KR808D-1 is the stronger slim ecig providing decent warmth. Warmth/heat enhances the hit of nicotine. but vapor feels foreign to inhale at first.

You might try this also...draw into your mouth, open your mouth, then inhale. Mix it with as much air as possible until you adjust to it. vaping isn't smoking and it sounds like giving your throat a little time to adjust is what's in order.

As for juice, topshelfvapes and freedomsmokeusa has some really good flavors.

LOL... I discovered this method last night. I would vape, let the vape sit in my mouth for a second or two, then slightly open my mouth and inhale. Not only did this reduce the harshness going down, but also reduced the nose sting on the exhale. Im a happy clam now.

As a side note...work up this morning and went to put the dog out and have my morning analog..... BLECH! Not only did it taste nasty, but it actually somewhat nauseated me and I found myself saying I would rather be hitting my Malibu.

I cant imagine how this will feel when I get a daily vape that really knocks my socks off. Ordering 3 or 4 sames from different vendors today!

Thanks again all!

Everyone isn't going to like the same juice regardless of what it is. You could try ordering cartomizers and filling them yourself with a different juice.

I absolutely hated Halo juice the first time I tried it. I thought it was like I was was licking the inside of a pill bottle. I've tried it again recently and thought it was pretty good. Tastes do change.

Try some differerent juice from a juice vendor and see if that helps.

I kinda figured that being as taste is subjective. And as player pointed out, as I detox from cigs, I assume my tastes will change significantly over the next few months.

Ok so I placed several orders (oh my aching checkbook):

Vermillion River: Free Sample of thier Malibu Pineapple Coconut (I know sweedish said the coconut is a bit over the top, but I love coconut :)

Mrs T's: Snickerdoodle cookie (of course)..before I became a Type 1 diabetic this was my fav cookie! , Kickin Strawberry (wanted to try a fruit from her collection), and Hot Chocolate (mmmm chocolate). All of these at 24mg

Backwoods Brew: Backwoods Blue Berry 24 mg (Love blueberry anything...wanted to give these guys a try being as I have seen several folks rave about them).

Halo: I did buy a 30ml of Malibu being as I know I will use this 18mg (due to the increased TH from his juices.) Also 2 boxes empty 808 Cartos... can never have enough Cartos.

Thanks for all the advice folks... day 3 and Im finding Im starting to LOVE my vape, and smoking MUCH less (2 cigs so far today and I have been up since 6:30 am and its now 2 pm).

Your juice choices sound great! Hope you like the Malibu Pinapple - many people here love it!

Backwoods brew juice needs to steep a bit because it's freshly made.

The good thing about Halo juice is the consistency- it doesn't clog cartomizers at all.

I've never tried Ms T's but I'd love to hear how you like them!

Will do sweedish... I love sharing my newbie experiences as I feel it will help other newbies that try and search for answers to similar issues.

When you say to steep a juice... I have seen several ways. All agree a dark cabinet ...but I see some say keep cap off and some say cap on. Also some say a week, some say a month.... what is your opinion?

I don't do anything fancy, I just throw it in a box.

Most are better in a couple weeks. I don't vape tobacco juices which are probably more complex and have many more ingredients and benefit from steeping.

Mine are mostly fruit flavors or mint and the flavor is enhanced after a week or two.

Good deal..will keep that in mind.

Im also holding onto my halo tobacco juices and let them sit for a few weeks and will retry. But I fear by then I will be sooo happy with my coconutcookiestrawberryblueberry schmorgasborg that I may never want to go to tobacco flavors :)

@ achit.... As far as the applewood...cant say, havent tried it.

The first couple of days, vaping was very harsh on my throat. After that it was fine. I like a mild throat hit. My absolute faves are Bounty Hunter and Vanilla Strait by Nite Lite Vaping (plus they throw in freebees!).

A tobacco flavor I like that is mild is Dekang Tab.

A mild on your throat menthol I like is Backwoods Brew Strong Menthol.

Keep up the good work! There are a multitude of juices out there, and you will find the ones that suit your taste; it's just trial and (a lot of) error. If you don't like something' it's not a waste of money; it's a learning experience.

As far as your samples. try mixing your menthol ice with a tad of tobacco for a new taste.

I was a menthol smoker for 29 years @ 3 pad, and I had found out early on, after many menthol flavors and with much frustration, to finally venture to other flavors and now I find I am not really fond of menthol at all. I do love some of the tobaco flavors, and I also like the mints and cinnamon. Spearmint is a reallly good tasting substitute!
