Hi, my name is Scott and I've just started vaping. I've been a smoker for about 12 years, but with a few years smoke-free in the middle.

I finally got tired of waking up with a semi truck on my chest. I was always worrying about what I was doing to my body, but felt helpless to do anything about it. Then I found vaping.

I spent a few hours one night looking through the seemingly endless batteries, *omizers, tips, etc until I settled on the Kanger EVOD VV 650 and Mini Protank II setup. It finally came in the mail Monday night and I've been without an analog since yesterday morning. The best part is I feel great and can actually breathe.

I'm only worried about developing an acquisition disorder over all the different tanks, mods, ejuice, etc I can collect.... I'll still be saving money over analogs, but I'd kind of like to keep my equipment to a bare minimum (yeah, right!)

Welcome to the party Sk0tto. The EVOD and Protank 2 are a fine choice, and will serve you well. Take your time learning a little before buying heaps of hardware you may or may not like... Ask lots of questions, but always have a back-up battery (or 3), back-up omizer (or 3), extra juice, and an extra charger, Etc., Etc...

Sounds like you've done your homework, and proud for you that you've made the switch, and that it seems to be working for you. It's a great feeling, huh?

That's the best advice I can give. If you need anything, just holla, we're right here.

Welcome, and congratulations on giving up smoking! Glad you're already seeing health benefits so soon! That will be a great motivator for you.

My advice is don't expect to save much money for the first few weeks while you stock up on spares. But in the longer term, vaping can be a much cheaper habit than smoking - if you want it to be!

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. Yes, I have quickly realized the need for a backup battery. I'm probably going to get a 1000 or 1300 mah battery strictly for home use and a larger tank or two to go with it.

I know you can never have too many chargers, either. As for my iphone, I always keep one charger at work, one in my car, one in my wife's, and one in the bedroom. It probably wouldn't hurt to have a similar setup for my batteries..
