Hey everyone, Im new here :)

Been a PAD smoker for the better part of the last 8 years, and just recently made the switch to vaping! Its been two weeks now since I have had an analog, ive been creeping these forums for about a week, decided to make an account the other day so I could post and learn more.

So far my only rig is a BuckNaked Express, I have already burnt out the coil in one clearo, I have six more to go along with a spare battery I picked up. Once I get closer to burning out the rest of these clearo's I plan on picking up a VV type APV.

Im still looking and learning but the more I vape my current setup the more I wish I had something better. It seems like after awhile it takes more to get a good hit, and with the clearos being top coil, after the tank is half empty the hits get weaker.

I want to try a bottom coil, but I also hear great things about the VV setups(i know they are two different things). The provari is too much for me to justify, especially since there seem to be setups with the same capabilities for less.

HI
I say go with whatever's in your price range that will do the job and make you feel good about the purchase. I'm not trying to bash Provari because it's actually a good mod, but way out of the price range for those who wish to indulge in other things with that kinda money. Couple suggestions: Vamo v2 or 3, Smoktek SiD, The iTaste vv line, AnyVape CVI, and a whole bunch of others out there within the same price range. If you don't mind spending a benjamin, then the evic is a pretty badass vv/vw mod as well. Most of these you can find on various sites: gotvapes.com, madvapes.com, fasttech.com, electronicstix.com, etc.

Welcome fellow Texan. If your looking for a great out and about rig, an ego twist and a kanger t3s is the more consistent setup I have found. No hassle, 1100 MaH is nice size and last all day as will a t3s. At work I use the 400 MaH ego with the t3s. For home use I just moved up to a vamo from fasttech and an igo-l. I really am pleased with it due to the vv/vw AND the resistance meter built in. It will take some time to learn how to wick and coil the Rba's, but they are nice for vapor and taste. With all that being said the ego twist and t3s is my "go to" rig when I just want consistency. Welcome to ECF, all the answers to any question you may have can be found here. The people are awesome. Congratulations on getting off the analogs and good luck.

Welcome and to give you an insight to VV mods, here's mine. My first VV battery was a Vision Spinner. For Mother's Day and her birthday I invested in a Provari Mini. I got a Vamo V2. The Vamo is currently what I am using, but it's a V3...had to replace the V2 after a roller coaster ride....the Boulder Dash at the oldest amusement park in the USA. Now for my opinion on the Provari, which you alluded to in your post. The Vamo is VV and VW and the Provari is not. I will say this...you know you have a Provari in your hand. It seems to hit better and smoother. The Vamo is nice, but the Provari is....a Provari....there is no comparison.

First of all, congrats on making the switch from smoking to vaping. I'm also in Central TX and have been smoke-free now for 14 months after 2 PAD for 27 years.

I have 2 Provaris now and while they're not cheap, they've been worth every penny to me personally. One great thing about the Provari is the consistency of the hit you get. The Provari is regulated so if you set it at say 4.2V, you're gonna get 4.2 regardless of what your battery strength is. The hit will not decrease as the battery strength decreases.

I'm sure there are others that do the same for less money and I'll admit I'm a Provari guy, but just wanted to share my experiences. Good luck to you!
