Hello. Newbie here (one month vaper). I usually read the forum but just today I've decided to join in and ask a question.

I've used eGo type batteries with Aspire BDC. It was ok for a week or two, but since I vape 6mg nicotine I couldn't get a decent throat hit. I've tried couple of clearomizers+mods combinations and I finally got nautilus Mini + iStick eleaf cause it seemed just a great package and the throat hit was Ok for me.

It tasted so much better than my Aspire BDC! SO much better. And as someone said in a nautilus mini ECF thread "I had to CHECK my lips and driptip to see if I was leaking liquid into my mouth THAT IS HOW FLAVORFUL THESE NEW COILS ARE!" - I did EXACTLY the same thing!

So, I've checked the drip tip. There was some condensation. I've cleaned it and the paper sheet came out yellow (same e-juice color). Tried to clean the air tube and there was some juice in there. So, my question is: Am I actually tasting liquid without knowing it?
I don't get the feeling that liquid is coming into my mouth when I vape, but checking the drip tip and hearing some gurgling sound from the Nautilus mini, made me very suspicious about the taste.

Thank you for your help guys.

Welcome to the forum and to vaping! Your problem could be either condensation or actual juice. When you press the button to take a draw, continue drawing for about a second after you release the button. That should help if it's condensation. It's also possible that you may be drawing too hard. Make it a slow, easy draw rather than sucking on it like you would a cigarette. Between the two you should have a much better experience but still get that great flavor.

Don't suck/draw as you would a cigarette (as others have said). Basically think of it like this: if your lips are around the tip, the equipment will mostly send the vaper into your mouth by itself. Let the equipment do the work, not your lungs. The liquid needs to pass through the coil slowly to get fully vaperized, otherwise you'll be pulling some amount of liquid through as well.

Hope that helps.

If its gurgling, the atty is most likely flooded. Unscrew and blow out air tube. (you don't need to dump your juice... just put the whole end of the juice receptacle in your mouth and blow out gently... I remove the tip doing this) Dab atty with tissue without removing the whole thing. Reassemble and then, for insurance, face the bottom end of your device to the ceiling and take a few draws which will use up excess in the atty. In the future, you can do what I do: I periodically upend and draw to use up any possible excess in the atty. It looks weird cause I've learned how to tuck the tip in my bottom lip instead of pointing my nose to the ceiling but it works. I do this whether its gurgling or not or getting juice in my mouth... to prevent it from doing so... and the number of draws you can get vapor from with it upended will tell you just how much collects in the atty and can get into your air channel from there. So that will let you know how often you need to do this on any particular device.

Dry your lips and try. Use a slow and steady draw so that you aren't drawing hard (sucking). Another is that if you are getting juice, open the airway more so that you are drawing air across the coil and up the chimney and not drawing juice.

For my drip tips and some other spots I use a Q-tip.

Hope helps

Thank you very much for your replies. Yeah, I do slow long draws, mouth first then lungs. Thanks for the tips!

Thank you for the tip! I will try that. I 've had some luck using a different drip tip, a plastic one with a rubber ring inside it. I think it helps with condensation (or liquid spills). Maybe my problem was the Nautilus Mini drip tip. Can't tell for sure, I'll try some more.
