Newb here, been vaping for about a month now. Already starting to build a small collection of goodies. I have been reading every thread I can find on dripping and decided to jump right in. I figured I could keep reading for another month OR just get some gear and get started.

So last night I went online and ordered an HH.357 because I just didn't want to mess with rba. Then I remembered that I'm a tinkerer and a gadget guy, so I went ahead and added an IGo-L.

I know I'll need some wick and wire but wasn't sure what to get yet so I passed on it for now. Any suggestions to get started? Is there anything else I need? I have some drip tips from my ViVi's. But other than that? Do I need a drip shield? Device I'm using is an eVic, typically like to run 1.8-2 ohms at around 6 watts (or 3.5'ish v) on my ProTanks. Prefer cool vape, pure flavor, big TH, and storm clouds of vapor.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, any special tools I'll need for the rba? IGo-L says it comes with 2 wicks, 2 wires and a small screw driver...

I just ordered my first rba last week. OF course the post office made me come pick it up 2 days after it was supposed to be delivered. If you order the cisco double atomizer package deal you get a free drip tip with it. I have at least 5 or 6 derlin ones. They dont heat up or taste bad like the metal ones. I bought 30 gauge wire from ebay for $6.50. I bought 2.5 or 3mm silica wick from reosmods for $1.50/ 3 feet. Best price I could find on them. I would get a drip shield if your using the evic. I just built my first coil 2 hours ago. I used a thin drill bit to wrap the coil and then put the wick in. It metered out at 1.5 with 5 wraps. It hits and tastes the same as the cisco but for 4 cents or so. I should of done this 5 months ago.I dont think you need anything else.

Hi

I have a blog about dripping, but it's very basic bare bones technique for beginners. It doesn't get into RDAs or anything fancy, so it probably isn't what you are interested in, but you might find something useful

Drip, Drip, Drip….

Awesome! Thank you, I will definitely be re-reading that when my new toys show up.

I'm considering getting into dripping as well. I have so many different flavors of liquid coming in I feel like if I'm not dripping im going to need like 40 different protanks. I plan to stop by my local B&M tomorrow in hopes of finding a bridgeless atomizer like they have on their website, if I enjoy that then I will definitely be picking up an HH or two

Drip shields are ok for 510 atomizers. They will keep you from getting a mess all over, but the mess will still be under the drip shield when you take it off. They really were meant for 901 atomizers because the way 901 atomizers are built, the drip shield actually takes the mess and pushes it back into the atomizer. That way you can go longer in between dripping more ejuice onto the atomizer. I bought two from GotVapes a while back and I think it was the biggest waste of money ever. I don't like dripping enough to buy a 901 atomizer and an adapter. If it was really my thing, I would rather build my own RDA.
