Hi,
I think you mean the tank. It shouldn't need replacing unless you break it.
you need to be careful with the o-rings at each end of the tank when you change the carto (the inner silver part that has the coil and wick in it) Just make sure you don't tear them or it will leak. You can buy replacements though.

tanks are fine but not very forgiving as they can leak easily if you're out and about you may pick it up and the tank can sometimes slide up the carto, juice everywhere.

You could try a BCC instead, say a kanger or davide. They'll fit onto your tesla and are less likely to leak, cheap too.

Thank you for that Dogboltt. I've got 2 other tanks that use wicks (attached), but I went with the tank method because the cartomizer lasts longer than the wick's in my other tanks. tank.jpg

I do, however, like the tanks that require wicks because it's easier to change juice. all I have to do is soak up the old juice on the wick with a paper towel, rinse out the tank, and add a different kind of juice. With the clear tank I can't use the same cartomizer because it totally sucks up the juice and there is no way to replace with a different juice. I have to open up a new cartomizer when I want to change juices.

PLEASE somebody tell me if there is an easier way to do this or that I'm mis-informed. All I have to go by is the experience from the folks at my local vapor store. I'm so glad I found you guys!

I'm trying to make this as un-confusing as possible. I appreciate everyone's patience while I get caught up to speed. (i HATE not knowing everything about something) lol

THANK YOU so much for the links. I will definitely be checking those links out! Hopefully the attachment has made it. I'm trying to figure out what the signs are that the chrome tube (wick-type thing) needs to be replaced. They are twice as much as wick's are to replace, and the reason I got the tesla was because of the cartomizer and the fact that it's supposed to last twice as long as the tanks that use the traditional wicks.

Okay... what you have on your Tesla is called a carto-tank... it is a cartomizer that has holes in it to allow the juice from the tank to constantly refill the cartomizer for you so that you don't have to constantly refill it manually. REALLY nice set up you have there. I have one that is very similar! Used it DAILY for about 2 years...

You'll want to change the cartomizer (the inside piece) whenever it starts to taste funny or isn't producing vapor as it should. There are a few posts in Bad's Blog that I posted earlier that pertain to cartomizers, I think you will find them QUITE helpful!

If you have any questions that you don't really want to post in the thread, you can always send me a PM and I'll see if I can help you out. :)

Hey Shawnie,
Hopefully this link can help clear up your confusion on the toppers. (The parts that screw onto the top of the battery mod)
Proper terminology - Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Guide to Juice Attachments.
I would also recommend reading through the rest of Baditude's blog posts: Bad's Blog

The 1.8 ohms that you are measuring on your coil (The part in the atomizer/cartomizer/clearomizer that actually gets hot and causes the juice to vaporize.) is well within the limits of the Tesla and will give you a good vape. What I was talking about was, when you buy replacements look for the higher resistance parts... 2.2 ohms vs. 1.8 ohms. This will give you longer battery life and will also let the Tesla run more efficiently.

For your last question, I'm not sure which part you are talking about... you should have enough posts now that you can post pictures. Maybe you could show me?

Don't worry too much about the lingo. The links I gave you will help, and in time you'll be dropping acronyms and words that you've never even heard of like a pro! We'll get ya up to speed and you'll have friends and family looking at you funny in no time! :D

These links you gave me are amazing and are answering most of my questions! Thank you so much for your help!
