Hello all! I found this forum while researching e-cigs as an alternative to analogs. I had seen the ones on TV a while ago and my first thought was what a gimmick. We have tried various ways to quit and have failed for one reason or another. We even tried Chantix last summer and within 10 days my husband was suicidal. So sure.... he could quit smoking.... how can you smoke when you're dead! In any case, when I saw the tv commercials for e-cigs I was like great another gimmick that won't work and may cause even worse problems. So i did not give them another thought until this past Saturday when hubby brought it up.
He apparently had an Ad on one of his websites for one brand of e-cig or another and clicked out of curiousity. Thats how the obsession started. He's the impatient sort so he could not wait to order something online and wait for the shipping so he took a trip to the tobacco store in the mall and bought us Smokestiks complete with cartomizers.
He has now been completely smoke free since Sunday and I have been smoke free since Monday night. This is not to say that I don't still want one.... but when the craving is there.... I have hit on my smokestik and it eases it a lot.
Thanks for all the information provided on this site! I look forward to getting to know some of you better! ~ Sapphy

Welcome Aboard and glad to hear that you are both on the road to a great success story. The very best thing you can do for yourselves now is grab the hot or cold beverages of your choice, sit at your computer and read, read and read some more and learn as much as you possilby can about PV's (I call them Personal Vaporizers). Before long you'll both be able to make well informed decisions about what to try next, whether it be different flavors or perhaps step up to a Joye 510 or one of the other more popular models of PV. I am still learning each and every day and still enjoy it as much now as I did when I first started.

Good Luck to both of you and if you have any doubts or have questions, don't hesitate to ask for assistance here and you'll get the answers you need.
