New member saying hello

Hi all-

I've been reading this forum for the last couple of weeks - decided to register and say hello.

I quit smoking last month - did Chantix for 2 days, but got worried by the class action lawsuit commercials (have you or a loved one committed suicide, attempted suicide...) and switched to the patch. After a couple more days I was ready for a cig, but I realized that I was missing the hand-to-mouth, and the feeling of the inhale. I tracked down a Smoking Everywhere kiosk at the nearby mall, and I have been very happy since.

I bought a second PV (510) as I wanted to try another style as well as refill my own cartridges. I did have a couple of real cigs with drinks with my friends a couple of weeks ago (they were smoking my e-cigs!) but I haven't had any since then.

Happy to be off real cigs and happy to have found this forum!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am really worried about the FDA banning e-cigs - great to see a pro-active stance among the members here. I really don't want to be forced to go back to real cigs...

Yes--after 15 posts the control will appear for you to add one.

Congrats, welcome!

You'll find a lot of member here tried the patch and/or gum with no success. I think those have a 6% success rate. I have seen only a few people posting having any problems making the switch or reverting back. Most of us become addicted to buying equiptment, juices, and so on. I guess it's just in our nature.

I'm also new here to the forum, but I wanted to welcome you as well. I've been vaping for 10 days now, 5 of which have been cigarette-free. And I now have my mom vaping (60+ year smoker).

There is so much great info and the members are so friendly, always sharing tips, advice and the latest info.
