Hi, I have been vaping for less than a week and 2 days after I started vaping I realized that I could not longer taste my vapor anymore, so freaked out I got online and have found out I have what is called vapors tongue. I have tried switiching flavors, been drinking water and powerade, brushing and scraping my tongue, doing both lemon and lime juice, drinking milk and going back to where I got my kit and trying to smoke the menthol juice and it seems like nothing is working. I'm desperate cause it's been going on for 4 days now and I only got to enjoy vaping for like 24 hrs before it did. Can anyone help me please?:(

Wow, this is very unfortunate, sorry to hear!! You are trying just about every trick in the book too!!
Here is what has worked for me:

Pickles and/or pickle juice
Spicy food
Vodka & Cranberry Juice

Just had another thought that might work...try toothpaste that contains baking soda? I might try that next time!

Sorry, but this has happened to most vapers at some point in time. There's really no "quick fix". Above suggestions may help. Just realize that it IS a temporary thing.

Stronger flavors such as Cinnamon, Mints, and Menthol may help. Switch between different flavors often. Drink plenty of water (dry mouth contributes to Vaper's Tongue) and practice good oral hygiene. Exhale some of the vapor through your nose, as your sense of smell has a lot to do with assisting your sense of taste.

The norm is that folks new to vaping have "smokers tongue", not vapers tongue. It takes a few weeks after quitting for most people to start tasting and smelling things.
Vapers tongue is caused by drawing to hard. You can actualy cause the same thing by trying to drink a thick milkshake through a straw, or sucking on a toothpick.

What is the powerade supposed to do? I ask because my son who also vapes has been drinking that lately or a similar product and has been dealing with vaper's tongue for the past week. Am wondering if there is something in it that may contribute to the problem. I have foud that I can't drink tea, one sip and I can feel the change in my mouth starting. I have had him brush with just baking soda, which has worked for me in the past and didn't seem to help him at all. He and I vape pretty much the same thing. He likes Halo Shamrock and Belgian Cocoa and I prefer MrE manic mint choco and Jamocha but I don't do the powerade. Suggested he try fruit juices and perhaps diet soda of some sort instead. And vodka. : )

I agree that it has a lot to do with just recently quitting cigarettes. Your tastes are going to begin to come alive over the next few weeks. It's definitely important to stay hydrated and practice good oral hygiene. You could also try using a Neti Pot to keep the sinuses clear.

Vape more than one flavor daily. I think switching out is helpful. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed as I type this..... so far, no vaper's tongue, only a wicked cold a couple months back. That's the only thing that has affected my taste.
