Here is the latest mod from the operating table of basement boxes. I call it the green goblin variable volt. It's a variable voltage box bod. Voltage goes from 1.3-7.3 volts with the adjustment knob. Easily adjustable with the thumbwheel. It features an on/off switch for safe storage, a power on led, and bright fire led. We are selling this for $45 shipped batteries not included. It runs off 2x 14500 protected batteries. Pictures below.

What chip is it?

My guess is a UCC383-ADJ in TO-220 package, with heat sink.

OP, just a heads up, that switch appears similar to one I was using, I would average 1-2 weeks out of each switch before needing to replace it.

Yes it's a ucc383-adj with heat sink. I'm using a switch from mad vapes with a 2amp rating. Thought it was overkill honestly cuz in the original wiring it only calls for a .5amp.

I can't believe your selling these for $45. I have a ucc383 sitting on breadboard and thats like almost $20 in parts by the time I put it into a box and all. But why didn't you use a horn switch, there is enough room for one. I've only built 1 vv in a 3xaa box so far but have 2 in the works.

So $45 is a fair price? I couldn't find a normally closed horn switch so I used the highest amp/volt combo that would fit.

Yepper, $45 is very reasonable!! So far I've had 4 VV mods. The little sis, big bro, joker and buzz. The only one that came near 6V or more was the buzz. So before I order one from you, can you guarantee the voltages that you are advertising??

Mod has been sold. As to the voltages guarantee the voltage I posted is unloaded through a multi meter. Will post when the next one is assembled and ready.
