New Vision Spinner II Battery ~ Light Flashing non-stop and Security Code Question

Just purchased the above battery from Ebay and received in the mail. It didn't do anything when I pressed the button so I'm assuming it needed to be charged?

I plugged it into the charger that came with it and after a few minutes the light came on and is now flashing non stop.

Is this normal?

Also while doing a search to see how this battery works, I came across some of the "clone" threads.

This has a security code that I scratched off. It tells you to go to www.visionecigs.com.

There is an additional series of #'s above the ones I scratched off.

I'm not seeing on the site where I enter these #'s in.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks

this is the correct website and at the bottom of it is where you enter your code. I'm willing to bet once you do the message you will get is: "This product has been registered XXXX Times." If it gives you a number that is not 1 it is a clone, and because its from ebay, I hate to say it, but its most likely a clone.

Now as far as the light when its plugged in, did you try to hit the power button a couple times? Sometimes the clones are finiky. The device turns on with 5 quick clicks of the power button and 5 more to turn it off. If the light is White on the power button its charged. 100-80% White Light, 80-40% Blue Light, 40-0% Red.

If I plug either of the #'s into a search box , I get "There is no product that matches the search criteria". Not sure where I put the #'s in at tho ..

I hit the power button and originally nothing happened like it was dead. My old joy tech or whatever my old battery is works that way also. Now the light is on but blinking rapidly non stop.

There might be a short in it. Also the number you need to enter on the site I gave you needs to be the number that was under the scratch off stuff. When you twist the battery into the charger and plug it in it should only blink for a few seconds. I would unplug the USB from where ever you have it plugged in at and try another USB slot somewhere. Also give it a click of two if its doing it in another usb jack. And you hit the button once? Or rapidly five times?

ya its a counterfeit clone. they are all over amazon and ebay. Id contact the seller and ask for a refund and buy something from a reputable seller. if you make another forum post with your budget, what you would like or would like to do with your vape, plenty of people will give you input on which sites to go to and try and keep you in your budget.

I've tried hitting it once.. twice.. fives times. Tried contacting the seller.

It could just be a faulty battery. Anytime I've had an issue with an ego type battery it's been when I first got them. Or when they're super old. I'd contact the seller.

Yeah.. a faulty counterfeit battery :(

I've had my original ego batteries for a long time.. didn't use them for many months but they still work!

They try to get them to look as close as possible to the real ones in hopes people won't check them. When I was buying ego types from ebay I would message the sellers and make sure they were fakes or not. They need to disclose that info to you and if they don't respond you don't buy it. I have lots of emails back from sellers who openly tell me they are clones yet advertise them as authentics. If they tell you it's real and you prove its not, ebay will force a refund. Now I only buy from online retailers that I trust, most of which have been shown to me by members of this community. I have spent hundreds online without using ebay and amazon and have gotten 100% authentic products and have only bought clones when I wanted them. Most reputable sites with let you know if its a clone or not in the description or title of the item.

I did find a guy who says he is an authorized Vision distributor. He said he sells clones and genuine.. some people just don't care if they're real or not.

I might not either but the fact the battery has problems right out of the box .. leaves a bad taste. I'd rather spend the extra $12 bucks for a real one. Still cheaper than from a B/M shop.

I appreciate all your help today my friend! Many tanks ;)
