Wouldn't 3% equate to 30mg per ml? I was making an assumption here, but what is the calculation that gets you to 10-12mg? I am curious.

not really....the golds I bought, which was over a month ago said 10-12 mg right on the packaging

depends how the juice was mixed....

even the smok51 I started with said it was 'the same nic content as a cigarette' and the cart package was marked 8mg (just tossed that away recently as it didnt work anymore lol)...

Assuming 100% pg liquid, here is what I came up with:

* Density of PG = 1.04

The total milligrams per milliliter of PG:

1.036 * 1000 = 1063 mg per ml PG

3% Nicotine of that solution:

1036 * .03 = 31.08 mg per ml

Assuming 100% VG:

**Density of VG = 1.261

The total milligrams per milliliter of VG:

1.261 * 1000 = 1261 mg per ml

3% Nicotine of that solution:

1261 * .03 = 37.83 mg per ml

So by my calculations the mg per ml content of a 3% solution will be somewhere between 31-37mg/ml.

Yay for math and densities. I had to previously look up the densities of PG and VG as I got a new liquid measuring scale that converts weight to volume based on density.

it doesnt even equate when one mixes nicotine for e-cigs.... in 100mg nic liquid here, whether it's pg or vg, there isn't much really, volume-wise.... 100mg is the weight per 100mls of liquid...it doesnt mean % wise, by volume... being where they get theirs from, you don't know how much it actually is per se....so unless they were precise in telling how much nicotine, ya really don't know because at this time, it isn't regulated so they can throw any number at you as no 2 places will have the same quantity... you have no idea what the nic content really is or how they base it

The liquid contained within is labeled as 3% by volume which equals approximately 30+mg per ml per my previous calculation (unless that is flawed somehow). The device itself may only hold .3 or .4 ml, which would make sense of it being labeled at 10-12mg total, but it is still approximately 30mg/ml liquid, which is much stronger than many of us vape.

Regardless it makes for a pretty handy backup to have for emergencies, and helps me fight off cig cravings, which was the point.

actually that's further than the truth...most vapers here are still @ 10-12mg, and many higher than that...and exactly,I do agree though that they are handy as a backup or for someone wanting to give them a try... as for being 30mg ecigs? I still rather doubt it as even a few draws off the one I tried wouldve put me in a nic overdose fairly quick being I'm vaping 1/3 or less than that atm... 18-20mg in a standard carto or atty will put me in nic overdose real quick atm

I've always been a fan of the 10lb'ers. With those I can do a sloppy self taught spin. By no means the correct kind of spin, but it sure is fun to watch.
