They said the peeled off some putting a wick in. A little while later, the coating looked like when you put paint thinner on a painted surface. They believe it is just with juices that typically crack plastic tanks.

He refers to it as " in there". The ceramic wick was a tight fit, guess it would have to be the post in the tank area.
good looking out cheddar. i know it would change the overall look, but i think if i had one i'd send it in to have it stripped to stainless in the tank part. sounds sketchy to me (my humble opinion)

I will probably agree with you, unless they want to keep it as is for collector value. They are going to let people "wait and see" and if a problem arises they can have it fixed at no cost.
i'll say that jason and the nic stix team are a great vendor. bought a bunch of stuff from them, and I've seen them stand behind the products they sell. This is another example, so kudos to them for realizing the issue before the next batch is sold
I don't want to send mine back in...I love the pink post. I don't vape any tank cracking juices so I'm just going to enjoy my new little baby for now and see what I decide. I'm going to keep an eye on it and will remove the tank in a day or two and just wipe with a paper towel..if I see any residue I'll send it back in. That's my plan for now at least..
i feel you iowa. this really sux because the pink post is part of the pv and completes the looks. hopefully it's a non-issue for you since you don't vape tank crackers
