Hey All.

Happy Birthday AJ. Hope you have a cracker.

So news.... well it's finally begun over here.... the slow battle against an effective ban. Our medical regulations agency has said they intend to legislate ecigs as a medicinal product alongside NRT from 2016.

E-cigarettes to be classed as 'medicines' in attempt to tighten regulation | guardian.co.uk

If I was a cig-a-like user I probably wouldnt care one way or the other. Big tobacco is buying into all that and will get all the necessary licensing. Sadly being a vaper at the cutting edge of development and bespoke juice, it will mean the end and a return to dependency on BT.

Of course 3 years is a long time. And it being being classed as medicinal will make it difficult for anyone to ban me from using my ecig anywhere. But either way it is a sad day and one battle lost in an ongoing war.

I'm still not convinced it will happen and either way at least they didn't look to remove them immediately, 3 years is an age.

Here's a quote from Cloud9.

"Forcing our products to be licensed as medicinal devices is incorrect application of the medicines licensing framework, unethical and most likely illegal, given that traditional cigarettes are allowed to be sold freely to over 18s, and we are not making any claims as to a curative or medicinal effect or treatment for any disease. The MHRA's decision will be challenged, we're not going anywhere, and will not be applying for a medicinal licence for any of our recreational products."

When logic is flawed, then so the law must be. The very fact that for the first time in history, the consumer may have to go to the black market to obtain a less harmful product than the one society played a significant role in addicting me to...... and that kills millions...... and doesn't have the same restrictions for its sale....... You can't hide all of that forever. We know we have the moral high ground.

In the meantime, I'll keep cutting my nic levels. And if I dont manage that. A paltry 2 litres of GVC will last me another year and a half :)

I think AJ uses the fridge method. I've got some in the freezer right now. I have no clue if it makes any difference at all, but I'm giving it a shot, just for the heck of it. :)

I bet you genesis guys and gals would be a lot better off if e-cigs do become heavily regulated. I mean how would they regulate SS mesh and kanthal. :p A carto guy like myself would be in a much different boat.

drew,

I don't recall did you get Orange You Glad? So far that has been my favorite from them and admittedly I haven't tried a lot of others but certainly a big fan of that one. Just got another 60 ml of it in the mail today.

Yeppers, that was one of the four I received. It's tasty. I get an orange soda flavor from it. It smells like an orange cupcake, but the taste is different for me. Cool blast is darn good too. If you like minty vapes that is. :)

98% of the time, I can tell if I'm going to like a juice by the smell of it. If it has that same base smell to it, I won't like it. All of the hope liquids smelled like their flavor. Which is a great thing, they taste clean. I don't hold the credit card thing against them. If I really dig a couple of these juices and end up ordering more and it happens again. Then the gloves come off. :D

The AGA-T2 is good for testing the waters. I had one for a little bit, but of course I sold it. But that's nothing against that particular device. I just don't do like genesis devices in general.

Just ordered some more replacement ceramics and predone wicks and coils for the eBaron Dripper Pro. Those with eBaron drippers wanting replacement ceramics and coils can order in the US from 405vaperz. They don't have drippers in stock but at least have low and medium resistance replacements back in stock.
