There's a lot of strong F... word attitude coming from this article. Not so sure if this is the best route in the long run.

Yes, I got that too. Seems like njoy wants to make any other e-cigs seem dorky, and to distance itself from the 'dorky' vaping community. This article also gives the vibe that they just want to make a buck, which is of course what companies selling things do, but it would be nice to see a little more focus on caring about smokers coming from them (even if it's just lip service). It's amusing that the comments section has kind of turned into commercials for other PVs though.

$$$ was all over this article. But it doesn't bother me because it's pretty obvious why njoy is in this industry.
I used to think that every e-cig brand helps the cause, until I read how strongly NJOY is promoting f...you attitude, which wasn't that strong in the advert.

But now they are going all the way and it worries me. If their customers adopt the attitude, I'm more than sure it's going to backfire vapers. Everybody knows what Courtney Love represents, but 99% of those who are going to follow her sample step by step will simply look like regular jerks.

A little company called NJOY thinks it has finally designed an electronic cigarette that doesn’t look ridiculous.
I understand why we in the "hobby" segment of the movement
would find this statement offensive. HOWEVER, the reality is
our eGo, box mods, mods, super vape machines ... are NOT the
"mainstream" PVs of choice for most vapers to enjoy in public.

Trying to educate the public that a "cig-a-like" is nothing but
an e-cigarette is one thing...expecting the public at large to
know and accept objects that look like something they might
see in a Star Wars bar ... is a harmless e-cigarette ... is another thing.

My main go-to PV is an eGo...and yes I know all the arguments
against "cig-a-likes" !! However, the reality is "Mainstream" e-smoking
in public...now and in the foreseeable future...will be the "cig-a-likes"

The E-cigarette in Public forum is chucked full of comments regarding
apprehension of vaping our "power vape machines" in public...for valid reasons.

Maybe someday...the public when seeing vapor clouds coming from
unfamiliar objects will be viewed as nothing but a harmless e-cigarette...
However, that is not today.

IF the FDA stays out of our way ...
There will always be "Mainstream" PVs AND "hobbyist" PVs.
I suggest our super high-powered large vape machines are
effective, however, they are not "mainstream" PVs of choice
for vaping in public.

To argue our PVs of choice are the best and most effective...is understood.
However, the reality is the overwhelming vast majority of smokers prefer
to vape a "cig-a-like" in public ... Thus the term "Mainstream".

True, but this idea that NJoy has cornered the market on cig-alikes, and FINALLY created one that looks like a cigarette, is kind of dumb. There are lots of cigarette looking ecigs out there, and from the comments, many would perform better than NJoy at a more affordable price. I don't personally know, but I know I'm not going to pay $8 for (maybe) a pack of cigarettes worth of vaping. If you don't want a 'dorky' mod, there are still definitely a lot of options to choose from. I guess they want to be the Kleenex of small e-cigs.

Actually, it's true. The NJoy King is unique. It's like nothing else on the market.
And it is far and away the closest thing to a real cigarette.

I guess I would have to try one to be a believer. From the pictures it doesn't look that different. Does it have a different feel?

Oh yeah, completely different.

Where even the smallest cig-a-likes might feel 50% like a cigarette, the King feels about 90% like a cigarette.
It is the same size as a cigarette, almost the same weight, and it has a paper wrapper and a slightly squishy mouthpiece.

My only worry is that they'll tell the FDA it's OK to outlaw the hobbyists and our juice. There is a very good British letter to the editor on that page about "Commonsense things about E-cigs" that points out that ecigs are evolving fast, and are generally not yet good-enough to stamp out smoking, and that stopping this innovation gives the market back to BT and their combustibles.

Let 'em know that the mainstream guys are benefitting from the hobbyists' innovation, and the innovators must not be criminalized! Stand up for Artisan Blend E-liquids! (AKA mom-and-pop ejuice shops that cater to hobbyists' devices)

Remember, "innovation" is almost as strong a buzzword as "children." Let's use it.

nJoy Kings- wanted to see what the hype was all about.
Advertised as the same as 2 packs of cigarettes- I killed it dead in 15 minutes- about what my eRoll lasts, but then I can recharge the eRoll, and put my own eliquid in it....and it hits much harder. My eRoll is a ciga-a-like but better in my opinion. If in public where my mods stand out, I use my eRoll!!

I would like to see something out there with the convincing performance, look, and feel of the king with the battery life to make it all day. An e-roll tiny battery/big PCC-style king would be a serious contender... ... perhaps even a true game-changer. I know I would have made the switch a lot more quickly if the king was really viable in the long run. But at 8 bucks a .25-2 hour pop, they're just a novelty item for most smokers. I might be willing to pay that much for a 5-pack of them. But NJOY really needs to make with the re-chargeable, refillable king... ...is that so hard?

Amen TennDave !
My eRoll is a fantastic cigalike...
just not...evpensive for long term use.
I don't want to blend in with the smokers or hang out in the cold and wind and rain and snow...just to stink from them !
I'm a Vaper !
I don't want a white pv with a yellow 'filter'...
I did those for a long-long-long time.
And I don't want vaping to be seen as 'Smoking'...
just more reason for the authorities to 'sin tax it to death'- something that is not a sin !

And- more importantly-to not acknowledge the true miraculous benefits of vaping...
and the lives of people who could be saved by changing from smoking by vaping, with GOOD equipment and good ejuice !
