Hello there! I just came across this e-cig concept today! I was so interested, I decided to join the forums! :) However, it seems like I'm a bit too late. I live in Hawaii and because it's part of the USA it will be hard to obtain shippments right? Well anyway, as of present standing, I was curious as to which site is the best for purchasing e-cigs. Also, if possible, what type of e-cig model is good to stick with. During my time of smoking, I've only smoked camels naturals and menthols. I took much time to look around the forums, but the information was almost overwhelming... I understand that this might be just another post of something that may have already been discussed on this forum, but your help would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you!

Being new there are a couple of things you need to know and do
1. Check out the new member section, it gives great tips and videos on how to start and everything you need to know.
2. Also you want to decide what the best companies that are out there and your best bet is to do research b/c you can get great deals and also get screwed as well.
3. From reviews your going to want to find what the best product for you will be, e.i. are you replacing cigs and if so what product and smoking habits will fit best.
4. Make sure you buy extra parts and don't have a idiot move like I did and not have extras as per my other posts.
I was smoking half a pack of camels, bought a dse103 2 weeks ago and been smoke free since, a lot of people have found many diff e-cigs helpfull, I'd say a great one to start with usually is the dse901 per good generally good all around and a lot of places carry parts, I like the dse103 per looks like a cig but battery life is a little short and the filter doesnt last as long. again do your research!
Where I found to have the best prices is ruyandirect.com and eastmall.net, both are in china and shipping takes an average of 6-10 bus days for fast shipping and if no customs trouble, but overall have good rep.
Also in the USA there are so many companies but the ones that I have had great experiences with liquid nic is vaporcountry.com and nuvape.com. Great in shipping product, price and cust service.
You best way to save money is to drip(which will be expl in the new comer sec) to DIY(be careful) and to add liquid to your prev cartridges.
I know this is a long post but this is what I've learned over my short time and I hope this helps a little.

Hi Monchan and welcome! I know what you mean by the info being overwhelming -- I read about e-cigs until I was on overload!

I ordered a DSE901 from esmokeyshack -- he has really good shipping -- I got mine in just two days, and he has a flat rate for shipping. I also really liked his customer service -- I had an issue with a battery that came with my 901 kit, and he responded immediately to my email and replaced the battery.

I can't compare the 901 with any other model since this is my first e-cig, but I can tell you that I like the 901 enough that I have already ordered my second one.

Also, if you have hopes of starting to vape in the next month or so, do NOT order from any company that starts with a "B" and ends with a "u" -- can't mention the full name of the company on here as it is kinda sorta a tetchy subject, but I will say that I live in Jersey and that the afore-not-mentioned company has not even processed my order let alone shipped it, and it has been 2 weeks since I ordered.

I think most people start with a medium strength nicotine level to get an idea of what works for them (11, 14, or 18)mg.
Also bear in mind, that compared to most cigarettes, an e-cig will have a MUCH lighter hit, as there is no partially burned ash/tar entering your lungs. Nicotine adds a lot to the sensation of taking a hit, which you will probably need for a while to stave off the cravings. Once you've gotten the NEED for cigarettes out of your system, it becomes an easy matter to change nicotine strength, typically in stages ie: 11mg for a full week, 6mg for a full week, then move onto 0mg. I suggest this to both avoid a system shock of lots of nicotine to none, and to get accustomed to the progressively lighter hits that the lower strength e-juices will provide.

That's my approach anyway:)

Hey everyone, thanks again for replying to my questions.
USAMARE- I see... In this case, I think I will order on the high nicotine side.
ROB87- Really!? 3 to 4 days to Hawaii??? That's quick!! Did you have to pay extra for that speed of shippment?
KREEL- I see.... I will keep that in mind. Hmmm.... Well, I did enjoy the naturals so that would be considered full camel flavor? Well regardless, I will take your words that 0 nic would drive me bonkers (in a bad way due to lacking).

Thanks for the suggestions for nicotine volume. I'm now looking at juices and am wondering; what is pg, non-pg, and vp? Also, I was thinking of the DSE-801 which is a larger version of dse-901 if I remember correctly. Is this a bad choice? Thanks in advance again for the answers!
