So I just started vaping a week ago with the Evod 2 kit. I just got my Aerotank Mega in the mail and still awaiting my MVP V2.0. Question is...can I use my Evod 2 coils in my Mega tank? Evod coil is 1.5 ohms and Mega tank has 2.0 coils. Since the kit came with 7 coils, I'd hate for them to sit around and go to waste. Also, can I use the Mega on my Evod 2 battery? I wanna try it out but since I know nothing, don't wanna cause the batt to blow up in my face or something. Thanks :)

You'll be fine lol. Either it won't work or it will. I've personally hated all Kanger tanks and use an Aspire Nautilus as my go-to tank, so I'm not familiar enough to know for sure if they'll work or not. But regardless though, I guarantee 100% you won't be doing anything damaging in anyway by trying an Evod coil in your Aerotank Mega (just as long as you don't try anything like forcing it in if it's not the right size or doesn't fit).

Kanger does have a history of making coils very similar (part of the reason I hate Kanger tanks) as well as backwards compatible for various models and types. I also know for a fact you can use the same Atomizer head for the Protank 3, Aerotank, EVOD2, T3D, EVOD Glass and Mini Protank 3, but since they've apparently made some changes to the coils for the Mega Aero I'm not 100% sure. Hopefully they will though

What you can do to easily see though is first take apart your Mega Aero Tank. Don't fill your tank with liquid or anything yet and simply screw in an Evod coil into your Mega Aero's bottom piece (assuming that it fits of course) and just attach that bottom part directly to your battery. Fire the button and just look down into the Evod coil, if it starts lighting up and glowing red then your good. If you're still unsure, hold button down for a few seconds and if it's working you'll feel the coil getting hot. That way you don't waste any juice or risk spilling anything. Hope this helps!

Just FYI for you own knowledge if someone does ask you, the only difference in the new coils isnt anything about compatibilty. All they changed was the wicks are now house inside the coil instead of sticking out. They will still work in the same tanks as the other aerotank protank 3 coils. In reality the new build should help quality control but they are harder to clean and dont work so well for high VG juices.

So what can I expect the difference to be between vaping with the 1.5 ohm coil vs the 2.0 ohm coil?

The 1.5 ohm coil is going to produce more vapor with less voltage. If you have a variable voltage mod, the difference in ohms won't matter. For a regulated battery ~3.7 volts I find that 2.0 ohm coils are just about right.

Ahhh, see I tried the Mega on my Evod 2 batt and it didn't feel as though it was doing anything. I could taste the juice, but no heat or vapor. So I thought maybe the batt wasn't strong enough. Maybe I'll try it with the Evod 2 coil to get a stronger vape. Now that I know it won't hurt anything.

Also I stated above in the OP that I'm still awaiting my MVP 2.0 in the mail and just have the Evod 2 batt atm.

So I experimented and put the 1.5ohm coil on the Mega with Evod 2 batt and it's vaping much better. I also put the 2.0ohm on the Evod 2 clearomizer and vaped using the Evod 2 batt and same thing, not much vape. We'll see how the 2's do with my MVP 2.0 when it gets here. I'm guessing Evod batt must not be strong enough for the 2.0 ohm coil. But for now I'm sticking with the 1.5 Evod coil.

I use an Aerotank (Airflow control) on a iTaste VV and have no issues, I actually get more vape and taste out of it than I do my Evod2 tanks.
