Hey guys

I just wanted to write a little bit about how I'm doing with my e cigs. So I just bought them 3 days ago and started using them 2 days ago. I've been smoking around 35-40 a day for some time and have been smoking since I was 13, so 13 years in total. I regret starting and have tried to stop numerous times to no avail. Trouble is I enjoy smoking but feeling my health deteriorating was frightening. I have the cough of an 80 year old and my lungs cannot hack even the smallest of hills. So I recently read up on e cigs and decided to give them a try after A LOT of research/reading forums etc and I'm extremely impressed. In just one day I dropped down from 35-40 analogs to 10(ish) and by the next day I was down to 3! I chose to smoke packs of tobacco rather than cigs 6 years ago as it was more cost effective but had recently been smoking a 12.5g pack a day (I used to smoke it in at around 2) so I had become a bit of a chain smoker and doubled my tobacco intake. I just bought my last pack of 12.5g as a crutch of sorts and I must say it is VILE. In just 2 days on tobacco flavoured e cigs I cannot believe the difference in taste. I don't know how I managed it all these years. I am on 18mg. I don't really know how much I'm smoking as I'm very new to it but I think I've gotten through about 3-4 carts a day in total. I got a few carts free with the kit I bought but have gotten myself some e liquid to use once they are gone. I have stuck with the tobacco flavour at the moment but am looking forward to trying other flavours too. Just felt natural to stick with tobacco while I'm crossing over.

Anyway, ramble over. How is everyone else doing? Any fellow newbs wanna share your stories with me? I'm very interested to know how others in a similar situation are getting on. Thanks for reading my essay!

Hi Sherry, welcome to ECF :thumb: Congrats on finding Ecigs! For 37+ years I went through 100g of tobacco per week until I found vaping. Tomorrow I reach my four month anniversary since I last lit a cig and I don't miss them at all. Two bits of advice for you - 1) if vaping isn't satisfying you then try different juices, try different nicotine strengths, try different equipment until you you find what you like. There is so much out there to try so never give up and go back to the cigs. And 2) - always have spares, spare batteries, spare atomisers, spare carts, spare juices, even spare charger. There is nothing worse than having to go back to cigs because of lack of vaping supplies. I'm in the UK too so I know the good vendors etc, if I can help with any advice or whatever let me know :)
