Newb Quandary (Or, 'Advise me on which ecig would work'; shocking, right?).

So last week, after dithering for months, I discovered vaping.

Brief history: I've only been smoking analogs for three years. What started as a pack-every-three-or-four-days quickly became a-pack-a-day habit, then two packs... and last week, after realizing I was up to three packs a day, I thought I might need to do something about this if I wanted to have any of my paycheck/lungs/social-life/friends/etc. left. I bought a Blu disposable, and have only sneaked an analog three or four times since, and each time, it's made me sick. I consider this an epic success.

But the Blus kinda... sucked. Did the rounds through Walgreens' selection (njoy, Fin, etc.) and came back to Blu, but knowing too I wanted to upgrade to a better newbie ecig. After a bit of research online, I narrowed myself to a Halo G6, almost bought it... then realized I've got a serious issue. I live in the sticks. There are no stores around here that carry ejuice, and the post office here is notoriously unreliable. There was no way I could depend solely on internet orders without running out of juice occasionally.

So I figured it would be nice to get a kit which can -- in an emergency -- use Blu cartos.

With this in mind, I landed on the JC Vea. Then I realized it was kind of... big. I know, I know... All the reviews say slim ecigs are relatively crappy, but I work in an industry where I need something a bit less conspicuous than an Ego. Then, because I was desperate and tired of paying $9 a pop for the Blu disposables, I bought the starter kit to tide me over. And I realized that I'd really like something with a good throat hit (something the 16mg Blu cartos they carry here seriously lack). I miss that aspect of analogs the most, and if anything will drive me back (other than, you know, not having cartos or juice handy), it's not having the option of anything stronger.

So, to sum up, this is what I'm looking for: A slim ecig which can use Blu cartos in a pinch.

Sounds so easy, but I'm so... lost with all the options.

Now, for the obligatory specific stupid newbie questions:
  • With the adaptors available, is there an adaptor which would allow the use of the Halo G6 with the Blu cartos?
  • Should I even bother looking at the eRoll? Or make certain this ecig thing is working for me before sinking that kind of cash?

Huh... it must be late, because I thought I had more stupid questions.

Anyway, thanks everyone for contributing to a community like this, and for reading my stupid newb post, and all of that.

I'm a little confused here. So you have the Blu cartos but not their batteries? And you have the JC Vea. So far so good--this is the 510 connection. G6 is kr808--do you have any batteries? Cartos? Just planning on buying them?????

Anyway, any 510 threaded battery can be used with Blu cartos--like the Blu battery--they are not bad, or a Joyetech 510 battery. And your Vea.

I recommend you get some juice online first and start refilling your Blu cartomizers--they can be refilled at least a few times. Just pop the cap off and drip some juice into the filler.

If you want to use G6 batteries with Blu cartos, you'll need a kr808>510 adapter. Do you have G6 batteries?

I also suggest you get some blank good quality cartomizers (LR single coil Boge or Smoktech--510 threaded) or clearomizers (Kanger T4 comes with both 510 and kr808 threading) and fill them yourself. A good LR carto or clearo will give you a much improved vape.

With a small crochet hook to pop off the top, you can refill Blu cartomizers with your own e-liquid.

My biggest problem with Blu is that the automatic battery's switch is very picky compared to most brands, and it requires a harder draw compared to most e-cigs.

With analogs I am not a big menthol smoker but for e-cigs I actually like menthol for the throat hit. It might be something to try.
