OK, well this is my first post here, and i'm just a lowly newb when it comes to these things, but here we go.

First off, i've been off of "Analog" cigs for a month now, and pretty happy about it. I had been smoking 1-2 packs a day for about 6 years now...and honestly i was scared as i'm only 24. Anyway one of my Proffessor's switched to e-cigs awhile back...and i jumped on the bandwagon along with him....he was using the "Smoking anywhere" thing for about a month, when i ordered a Blu....

.....suffice it to say, we were NOT satisified w/ their performance. Around the time i got my blu...he had already graduated to the 510. The blu was alright...but when i went through the starter pack of 25 carts in about....3 days, i knew i would have to make a change.

So flash foreward a month, and i've had my 510 for a week, and am really satisfied w/ it's performance. My only problem with it was that after a couple of refills of the carts...they wouldn't vape all the liquid. That was easily remedied however after a lot of research, w/ the blue foam cart plug. Which is fantastic.

The battery life on the stock batts seem to be pretty craptastic, and i have already ordered a pass thru for at home use.

My favorite juice so far is the vg RY4 from cignot...although the vg vanilla i'm vaping right now is pretty good.

So, i've got the passthru coming from Nhaler for at home use....some more juices as well as some drip tips, I was wondering what juices are out there that a newb vaper such as myself should try?!

Also i'd like to know whats the best affordable, and portable alternative to the stock 510 batts...i've seen the mega batts but i'm looking for something that i won't have to be constantly replacing and i've heard max those last for about 3 hrs.

Any thoughts/advice would be welcome!

For the battery I would recommend the lazer mod which uses the 10440 battery and those batteries last me for half a day depending on how much I vape Ikenvape has the lazer for $35.00. Your at first going to need a couple batteries and charger about 15 to 20 bucks depending on where you get them. Then the juice is up to each individual. you just need to try some sample packs to get the flavor you like. That is about the least exspensive mod for the quality. I build My own and if your up to that it's cheaper. Mad Vapes has the tutorials on how to and the parts. Good luck. All your 510 stuff will work on the lazer.

Looking into the ikenvape site...seems like everything is out of stock.

As for the eGo...so all i'd need is the cone, battery, and a charger/adapter for my charger? The atomizer/carts would be the same as my 510? Doing this would be just to extend battery life, right? or would i get any better vapor production?

And what about the Low resistance Atomizers? i've heard that those coupled w/ an eGo battery is pretty intense, anyone tried that?

This eGo conversion seems like the next step in my downward spiral towards some crazy pipe bomb-looking devices....and i think i may be OK w/ that!

How are the 10440 batts with tapering off after a short amount of time? This is one of my biggest complaints aside from overall battery life with the stock batts. I get 5-10 really good hits, then it really tapers off for the rest of the life of the battery.

I have the DSE901 so may not have this quite right. There is a post with a title something like "the truth about battery voltage." In there the OP claims to have measured the voltage from the standard battery at 3.1-3.2 V instead of the nominal 3.7V mentioned all over. That means a 3.7V battery mod with the 14450 or 14440 would be running the atomizer about 15-20% higher voltage. So a difference in taste. Not as much as the 5V mods though.

Thx for the link! That is a crap ton of mods!

So i see most of the mods use "regular" batteries, as opposed to the stock ones that come w/ the 510 that screw into a charger. How do you tell which ones will hold a charge longer?? Is that the mah rating? i know that you can't use low res. atty's on anything lower than 440 mah...whatever the f that means. lol

I'd also like to hear from someone w/ an eGo to tell me if the batteries really last 8-12 hours like i've heard in some of the vid reviews...and if so i may just go that route, seeing as i don't think i'm ready just yet to move up to a higher voltage.

Hello and Welcome...My first and only PV so far is a Ego that I been using since Feb 11...I have no problems with them at all....Love the manuel battery verses the auto ones...
Depending on how much you vape,,,the Ego battery lasts me from 4-6 hours,,,,but, I vape a lot...Also, the Fast-charger that comes with the kit is fantastic...Takes less then two hours to charge...I use three batteries a day...Morning, Noon, and Evening...Never lost their charges during the time I used them...and keeps the same vapor and TH...
I clean the battery connection with a Q-tip before charging them...
One, final thing,,,I also bought a LR atty for the Ego,,,same attys as for the 510...so far the LR attys works great...but only had them for about 4 days now...
Hopes this helps...Take care and of course Enjoy...

I just got the Tornado (same as ego) and I love it. My batts last about 4-5 hours and I am a heavy vaporer. I also love the lazers and they were great as a first mod. The Ikenvape lazers batts have to be charged more often but they are quick to charge and cheap batts. If you want one, it is best to pm Issac and ask him to keep one for you. He will notify you when it is in. For the Ego, I recommend Cignot. Now you have my two favorite suppliers. Only reason I don't have the Ego from Cignot is they only started selling them yesterday.

I have a chuck on order so can't compare that yet.

Thx for all the replies! It seems that in a couple of months/weeks i'm going to have to move to a mod...these friggen stock bats are pissin' me off!...i'm going through one before the other can even finish charging sometimes. Although w/ my pt coming it should alleviate some of that stress as i do most of my heavy vaping at home. I just kinda wanna get my money out of the stock 510 before i go spending another 80-100 bucks on a solid mod/eGo starter kit.

I have about 5 sets of the 510, I keep them as back ups or may sell the batts and just use the attys on my Tornado. Same charger works on the Tornado with an adapter and I like to have more than one charger so I have 1 at work and a couple going at home.

Hi, Cliff...we seem to be following the same brands, eh?:D

the next step in my downward spiral towards some crazy pipe bomb-looking devices....and i think i may be OK w/ that!

After one month of mini e-cigs I ended up with a crazy pipe bomb-looking device that kinda looks elegant (if you can call pipe bomb devices elegant) and does all sorts of whiz bang things reliably with different atomisers and batteries. It doesnt microwave or make coffee however Im hopeful the next generation of ecigs will.
... and if you decided to follow that downward spiral, I think you would definitely be ok with it.;)
