Newb with a couple questions

Hi everyone. For any of those that the nickname looks familiar...yep its really me lol. Ive decided to go this route for nicotine and eventually quit altogether.

I got my machine (thats what i call it) in today. My best friend from highschool that i hadnt seen in years contacted me and wanted to hang out. So i went to his house and seen him puffing on one of these. When he told me he has no cravings using this he had my full attention. I know how much he smoked and if it works for him i know itll work for me.

I bought the BOGE Leo. He said the guy he bought his from said its one of the best. So what i want to know is what parts does this use? I seen a million parts it seems but none that say BOGE Leo or even compatible with BOGE Leo. I just see numbers. Now i dont have the Leo-T or the sport or whatever it was. Just the plain Leo. So what batteries and whatnot do i need for it?

Secondly i ordered my E-juice from ecigbestsave.com and i am not impressed at all. I bought desert ship and cotton candy (for the adult in me lol). They both taste almost identical. I mean there is just a tad of a hint of flavor. When i puffed on my buddies Leo he had watermelon in it from another company and it tasted really really good.

So did i just choose a bad company to buy from?

Ive read around a bit here before i posted. I think i might try that alien place i seen suggested. I do want a cigarette tasting kind but i want something else too. It can be like a fruit or a good cotton candy or even bubble gum.

I think this company just skimped on the flavoring. Please correct me if im wrong.

Hey there!

Welcome to ECF, and great call on the switch.

I really only feel qualified to address your juice, or liquid concerns. I have had countless juices that fit that bill. Vastly different flavours all tasting the same more or less, more musty than anything and lacking flavour. I have never heard of this particular supplier, which says a lot in this business.

The Alien guys you mentioned, I assume to be AVE, which in my opinion, are one of the top-tier suppliers and juice blenders on the planet. Give them a shot and you will not be disappointed. Don't be concerned about the crappy budget juices, there are tons of blenders out there that just throw stuff together and the results are sometimes vomit-inducing. Flavour skimping is common too, but I've had some killer juices and tasteless ones from the same order some times. Just laziness I suspect

I'm sure you'll get some feedback about the Leo. Don't hesitate to ask tons of questions, we'll do our best to get them answered.

Best of luck, and Vape Groovily.

EDIT: I did not intend to label this particular supplier as "crappy" as I have never tried their juices or heard of them. I just meant to steer clear of unheard-of suppliers as a new vaper and maybe wait for some reviews from more experienced people, while sticking to tried and true suppliers. Will happily edit my OP if it is deemed to be too critical without merit

Thanks alot! Someone from a Thunderbolt phone forum pointed me here. He said you guys were really up to date on this stuff and a bunch of great people. Thats really awesome!

Since 10 AM CST i have had 2 analogs. Im using the 18 mg juice and i just felt i needed a bit of a kick lol. But wow am i shocked!!!! I cant go 15 minutes without a smoke and as long as i steadily puff on this i feel alright. This thing is amazing!

Congrats on the switch! Now hopefully you can get down to no cigarettes :) avejuice.com is an excellent juice vendor! Does the leo have cartomisers or what? Never really read on them. For my tobaccos I personally would recommend backwoodsbrew.net they have some the best fruit/tobacco vapes around and great prices! If you order make sure you use ecf10 to get 10% off. Good luck on your vaping journey!

Sorry I know nothing about Leo - I think it is compatible with itself - with Leo stuff and Boge makes Leo stuff ?

If you end up needing something that is compatible with more stuff, try a Riva 510 Lite Bundle from Liberty-Flights.com (because they have the latest model which is slightly higher voltage) - if you press the 20% off upper left of front page first, then Ria 510 Lite Bundle is under $30 fro 2 complete Riva 510 750mah. And I use Boge cartomizers on it for my favorite juices, 510 drip tip on the atomizer fro testing juices or vaping ones that are thicker than I will put in cartomizers.

3-piece setup
battery + atomizer (aka atty, needs periodic cleaning, can weaken or die) + cartridge (aka cart, plastic and stuffing, can be washed, restuffed)

2-piece setup
battery + cartomizer (aka carto, a combined disposable 1-piece cart with internal atomizer) - only put juices you like in cartomizers. I can usually get a week or more use out of one cartomizer. A few succeed at cleaning/drying and getting more use out of them, and most don't bother trying due to a. takes work and time and b. inconsistent results.

Cartomizer typically holds 2x or more than a cart, less likely to dump its juice, needs juice added less often, keeps flavors totally separate, provides a more consistent and more trouble-free vaping experience. Downside - they don't last forever. They don't work well with thick (high VG) juices.

Note - cartos have to be filled completely (I make it take at least 18 drops for each ml of capacity, wait 15-20secs, then see how many more drops it will soak up easily - I hold tissue against the threaded end hold while doing this. Then clean it up well. Then it has to settle for a minimum of 15-20 minutes - lay it on different sides to distribute the liquid to every bit of stuffing. While vaping, when the vapor tastes a bit dry, light or off-taste, add juice). Only put juices you know you like into cartos. And fro longer good use out of a carto I use thin 20% or less VG jucies that are clear and light (less chance of clogging the carto with flavoring sediment)

LiteCigUSA.net has some Leo stuff (but not cartomizers)
http://www.litecigusa.net/bogetech_leo_s/77.htm
But if you go to Google.com and search for Boge Leo Cartomizer you will pull up a bunch of sales sites

Im a tad bit lost on what i have. Do i have a carto? Ive been putting 5 drops in mine at a time. Is that why im getting a nasty taste? This is exactly what and who i bought from. Leo Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit

If i need to be putting in more juice please let me know. Cause im getting a nasty burning kind of taste but im getting what seems to be plenty of vapor.

Welcome to the forum! There is a Leo Subforum

The Leo

Thanks for the welcome.

Now i feel like an idiot. I added roughly 10 more drops to my cartridge and the burning taste is alot milder. Still there but i imagine it will take a bit to completely go away since im sure i was burning something. No wonder both flavors tasted the same. I was smoking the rare blend of burnt cotton! LoL

You probably don't have enough juice in the cartridge. I'm sorry I can't be more help, I'm not familiar with them. It seems like a nice pv though with a big battery. Check out the subforum, maybe PM one of the people and ask them for some advice. If you see a little green dot by their name it means they're online.

Thanks alot. Actually yout were alot more help than you can imagine. I watched that video very closely. Wow i use the same battery and just buy a carto and i have a better device. That is so cool!

Im a pretty intelligent person so alot of things like the ohms and all that good stuff i understand. In fact i do up a pretty decent Halloween display every year and i have a ton of fog machines that i have to maintain (talk about a pain in the ....). And ive made my own mods to those machines to produce more fog.

Now cotten candy tastes a bit more like cotton candy and the desert ship...well it tastes kind of like a cigarette. LoL

Thanks again. Ill definitely be keeping an eye on the Leo sub forum.

You need a lot more juice in it. You will know you have enough because you will see the moisture pool on top of the filler, not soak right in.
Best wishes. Welcome.

First off i love the signature. LoL

Thanks. I still dont think i have it full if thats the case. I never seen it start to puddle. So adding more we shall go lol.

    in a cave, eh?
I actually prefer the LEO atomizers to their cartomizers. As previously stated, the LEOs are incompatible with everything else. Your choices are basically LEO atomizer or LEO cartomizer. The cartomizer holds about 35 drops of juice, I think. So just make sure you've got it properly filled. You have to be patient to give the drops time to sink in before adding more.
