Not new to vaping but new to DIY juice. Sometime next week I will be getting my first DIY order from WL.

I plan on makeing 15mg juice from 60mg NIC. So I know to mix 1 part 60mgNIC to 3 parts mixture of PG,VG, and flavor. I will be using this calculator(http://www.ecigexpress.com/ejuice-calculator.php) to insure I don't mess up and I need to get a good starting point on what % for flavoring to use. I want to taste/smell the flavor so I don't want it weak, but not overpowering. I don't plan on mixing any flavors, unless maybe the V.Bourbon, the WL site says it isn't meant to use by itself.

Also, I been vaping Aqua Vapor Vanilla and its been a little strong on the throat(think is 100% PG). So i'm going to do a PG/VG mixture, I thought starting with 70PG/30VG, would that be a good start to cut down the throat burn?

These are the flavoring I ordered. I imagine some may be stronger than others so any ideas on a good % to start with.

Blueberry Candy TFA
Blueberry Flavor Concentrate (LA)
Vanilla Bourbon Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
French Vanilla Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
Vanilla Butternut Flavor Concentrate (LA)
Blackberry Flavor (TFA)
Strawberry Flavor Concentrate (TFA)

I won't be mixing flavors together right now, everything straight at the beginning. I may try to mix flavors later.
BTW, whats ethyl malto, is it a flavor or is it just something you add to all flavors. REmember I am new to this. I don't plan on trying hundreds of different flavors like some in here. I dont know why I ordered the strawberry and blackberry, probably becuase I like both fruits, and since everything was cheap at $1.49/8ml thought I would try them. I probably will just stick with vanilla and blueberry, but never know. I may try others that I like in pie.

I did some searching after this post, finally found a little input. Looks like 15% is a good start for blueberry and maybe 20% on vanilla, anyone else use those %

I started with 70/30 pg/vg, and went to 50/50 to experiment, right now after a couple of months 60/40 seems to work for me. I use mostly TFA flavoring and start at 10% and work it up or down from there. and always start with a small batch to start until you have it right. I use E Juice me up calculator and its easy to save your recipes. Also your harsh throat hit might be due to how hot you are vaping the juices and how dirty the coils are. Good Luck as it can get addictive...:p

Best to start with the lowest % you can taste; 5 to 10%. You don't need to start off using the EM just yet. Most of the flavors you ordered are sweet already. 3 months DIYing and the only thing I've added has been a drop or so of apple cider vinegar for some of the harsher batches of mixes I've done.

I thought about starting with a smaller maybe 5ml, then adjust from there, think I'll do that. Don't think the harsh throat is from the cig or coils. I use V2 carts and refill them, so with carts you have no idea what the coil looks like. Maybe its the blueberry flavoring I been added to the juice, but wouldn't think so. For my cart refills I buy 10ml Aqua Vaper 16mg vanilla juice, I add about 4 drops of Loranns blueberry flavor to about 20 drops of AV juice. Maybe thats to much blueberry. When I started vaping it didn't bother me, seems this last couple months is when it started so may be the blueberry.

Your link to the calculator does not work for me, tried twice and will not work. From reading some posts looks like its a spreadsheet with formulas, not a calculator. I think I will stick with something that is more trusting, like the one I mentioned above. Or just do the math myself, which is very simple mathematics.

tks for the input
