I do a bit of both. I get juices and supplies to make my own from a local brick and mortar. Sometimes I can't replicate a really good NET juice, so I'll just buy some.
Personally, I buy it. I've found a few flavors that I like and stick with those, and occasionally experiment with some different ones. I know there are a lot of others out there who make their own. I try to keep my vaping simple, so that's just one less thing to mess with.
I buy premixed juices and mix those together or vape them alone. I waste enough time and materials messing with the atomizer. Gotta say a couple inches of wasted wick and wire is no big deal. Wasted ounces of bad juice, might get to be annoying fast.
DIY all the way now!! Too darn expensive buying 30ml every 3 days at $16 a pop! And that's only 1 flavor - BORING!!!!
I now have about 18 flavors in my cupboard and can switch WHENEVER I want! Chain vaping - eh, no worries! I will never run out!!! Ahhh haaaa ahahhahhaa take that small business owners who are struggling to survive in this weak economy and battling the Internet Giants and their no competition low prices!! I care not for your Struggles!! Buu Whaa hahaha hahaha ahahhhh (how do you spell maniacal laughing??)

I DIY now as well. Started back in late June/July. Finally starting to get pretty good (thanks to so many wonderful folks in the DIY threads.) I have a guh-zillion flavor bases and PG/VG and nic. I can make what I want, when I want, in as big a batch as I want. LOVE that flexibility.
However, I'd read a really great testimonial about Mt. Baker Vapor last week. I've purchased from them in the past (but not for about 9 months). I made a small order and threw a note in to them, thanking them for what they'd done for a fellow vaper here in the forums. I only did the purchase because I wanted to give them some support for their great service. I probably won't buy again for a long time, but if I do, I'll buy from them.

I have been buying from Mt. Baker since I started vaping. I know they aren't considered a high-end or premium e-liquid, but they have a few flavors that I use in regular rotation and they are VERY affordable. You just have to plan ahead so you don't run out, which I'm not very good at lol
I DIY all my own juices now unless I visit a vape shop's tasting bar looking for new flavor ideas. I figure if I take up their time and taste their juices it's only polite to buy a bottle of something.
I do a bit of both. I have 7 tanks of flavors in a rotation and 3 of them have commercially bought juices. I make my own minty juices and I also like unflavored. I've got the makings for some fruity flavors but haven't had the time to really experiment with variations to get the flavor right. I don't buy online anymore since I've spent too much trying to find something I like and failed. money down the drain - 70-80 bottles bought, only 3 I could stand to vape the entire bottle.
Mix my own. Much cheaper, more convenient, easier to get the PG/VG ratio in the flavors I like, and really simple to do.
The lack of any reliable vape store in my area other than convenience storeshelped speed me into DIY.
I consider myself an e-liquid connaisseur, and I have to say, I’ve fallen in love with the Joy Flavor e-liquids. My old favorite pastime was coffee and a cigarette, so I thought I would give the coffee flavor a shot. And wow, I was not disappointed. Full flavor, almost like a have a fresh cup and a cig in my hands!
