Hi all. Akron Ohio here. I've just started making my own eliguids so I am experimenting with the simmering off of alcohol, ultrasonic methods, and plain old dark, cool ageing. It been fun so far.

I took the color change that the nic has oxidized with the other materials and that you have a good mix at that point. A darker, rather than clear, liquid was better with a smoother flavor, and less perfumy. Not true?
No, most berry and fruit flavors. They darken, but not all that much. Mixed berry, blueberry, mango, key lime, lemon lime, and menthol for my berry flavors.
I get some with strong a perfume flavor / aftertaste that I've thrown away.
