I have been smoking on and off (mostly on) for 25 years. Really been trying to quit but keep starting again. I think I miss the social aspect of smoking as much as the nic hit. My latest attempt I started smoking the occassional colts which now seems to be not so occasional anymore. I know I am one stressful day away from buying a pack of analogs.

I ordered a cheap $10 e cig and some supplies (14mg e-juice) off one of those Chinese sites last week. After ordering is started doing some searching and stumbled upon this site.

After hours of reading here I decided my changes off kicking the analogs for good would be to get a 510 or ego. I am leaning towards the ego as I think the cost would be about the same if I order a PPC and the 510. Being in Canada I think this would be the best bang for the buck and quickest to get into my hands. evapers looks like my choice since I can get a PV and e-liquid from them and save on shipping. If cignot delivered to Canada I would probably order a 510 from them.

I found info on the ego hard to find on this site. It looks like it is a souped up 510 from the info I found. Battery life on the 510 seems to be a common complaint. Lasting for a round of golf is key for me.

The 510 atty is a great PV atty, which is why so many batt mods use it. I use a 510 Bartleby, which is a 510 "box mod" that uses a 14500 Li batt. Recharges fast on USB. Gives more kick than a standard 510 batt, and I believe makes them last longer with less clogging. The batt offline will last several hours, depending on your vaping habits. 14500 batts are pretty cheap, like a few bucks a piece. One might not get you through a whole round, but two probably would. The other option for that is a PCC with a few regular 510 batts. It will charge the equivalent of 4 reg batts and you can carry it in your pocket with you. I am biased towards the Bartleby though...all my reg and mega 510 batts are in storage now!

Hey there fellow golfer!
SOunds like you made a great choice with the Ego/Tornado.
I have been using a 510 during my round of golf. You would need a minimum of four batteries and a personal charging case to keep them charged up to make it through 18 holes...believe me.
The 510 has a 180mah battery standard, the ego has a 650mah battery so if you do the math, the ego with its two included batts should get you through the round with power to spare for a little time at the 19th hole!

My shipment from evapers ego and juice that I ordered on Saturday shipped this morning. I also ordered some juice from vapables this afternoon and it shipped a couple hours later. Both are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday. :D So far I have been very impressed with these two Canadian companies.

I ordered some juice from lightinthebox last week but that order is still processing. To be honest I did not really expect to see it for 2 to 3 weeks at least.

Welcome and yes so far (2 months), the Ego is great for me....Have three batteries, cause I vape a lot...Also, I find that by replaceing them morning, afternoon, and evening, there is no drop-off in vapor performance...Only use VG myself, but that is
a personal choice...Enjoy the adventure...No analogs since Feb 11, a 1 & 1/2 a day, 25 years analog user, no more...Again, Welcome....and this forum is fantastic for all your questions...Later...

According to Canada post my ego is out on delivery. Should be able to try it our tonight, thanks evapers.

I think the two batteries should be good for me for now. I have promised myself I will not spend anymore money on this until I actually get my ego and have tried it for a bit.

Should I get a small bottle to carry some juice with me or just fill a couple carts? My normal analog consumption is 10 - 15 a day. Though I could blow through a pack a day easily if golfing or drinking with the boys.

I guess I'm an extremist...I have TEN 510 batteries that I use on a daily basis!!! I fill them all up once a day so that they're ready and usually by the end of the day, I need to refill a couple!!! Of course, I'm only 1 week smoke-free and the 510 is practically attached to my face throughout the day... hopefully, after a while, it will calm down.

I'd get a small bottle to carry some juice...I'd also check into some of the cart mods..
With the eGo you've eliminated the battery drawback...but the wicking ability of the polyfil in the cart leaves a little to be desired..and that diminishes as you refil them.. (I personally chose to replace the stock polyfil with blue aquarium foam...and now I go hours before having to top off and refill carts)
