I'm not too familiar with the reo grande. Isn't that a box mod with separate batteries? Regardless , get a meter. Even a cheap $25 dollar digital meter from ebay is better than guesswork. I have one and it's surprisingly accurate for ecig uses. I use mine mostly for measuring resistance of atomizers and cartomizers to avoid blowing a LR atty on my 5v passthrough. They are also indespensible to find out the overall condition of your atty or carto and to check the switch on your PV if it becomes temperamental, as mine sometimes does. I have a buttload of batteries and a separate charger, so I don't use it so often for batteries, but for attys and cartos, it has become mandatory.

I do not use a Reo but I do use mod's with similar battaries. I feel that a multimeter is a must. You need to make sure that your battaries are not over or under charging. If they are charging to high, this can be a problem and you do not want to use these. Also, please make sure you are only using protechted battaries or one with a "safer chemistry". Li-ion battaries are safe when used correctly, but nothing is 100 percent safe. I hope that you have read all the info on the battaries and how to use them.

Welcome to the forum! I have been vaping the living guts out of my Reo Grand and do not have or need a meter of any type. I have two batteries and a sweet charger. I asked Rob (master and maker of the mighty Reo) for his recommendations when I bought my Reo Grand and he sent me these links:

Grand
AW IMR18650 1600mAh LiMN rechargeable lithium battery
Charger
Ultrafire WF-188 Charger for 14500 / 17500 / 18500 / 18650 / RCR123 3.7 volt Lithium Battery Charger

You made a great decision on which pv to get for sure. I love mine and it made all the difference in the world in my fight to get off the stink sticks. There is a Reo group on this site called the Reo Lounge. A very knowledgeable, fun spirited and sharing group of folks. They have answered every question I have posted in no time flat. To find them go Forum / Forum Suppliers / Reos Mods.
