510 works with way more things you don't want 306 threads. Also I would advice getting a cartomizer not an atomizer that needs disposable carts. I'd say something more helpful but I'm on the app and its aggravating ill get back with you... ha. Btw didn't mean to send you a friend request either I'm new to the app but I am an awesome friend so lucky u

My 306s fit into 510 threads. I own the ones you're looking at.

306 is a style and usually people either get a better drip tip and/or use sleeves to prevent leaking. 510 usually refers to threading and style. 510 attys allow you to drip down the barrel, where 306s, you drip onto a mesh bridge.

306 attys might give a better taste, yet need to be dripped into more often.

i was looking into purchasing some atomizers, disposable ones, from madvapes and realized i was stuck. what is the difference between a 510 atomizer and a 306 atomizer??? what am i missing?

I don't know, but perhaps you should explain what it is exactly that you are looking to purchase? Maybe its the tank you are thinking about; or a cartridge / cartomiser. Are you looking for something that screws onto a battery?

the 510 is the threading on many clearotanks and the inside threading on many batteries for ecigs.

i guess the 306 is an older threading/standard.

Both are good atomizers, nowadays used mainly for dripping.

    They use the same threading.

They need different drip tips though, because they are constructed differently.
510 use the standard drip tips (which were originally designed for this atomizer),
    306 use special, longer, barrel-type drip-tips.

I would go with the 510s, just because they are more widespread and you can use
your drip tips for the rest of your devices.

If dripping is for you, you might want to check out the 306es at a later point anyway though.
They have their fans, preferring them vape-quality-wise over the 510s.

And like gary said if you're looking for disposable you should look at cartomiser systems.

they basically look like the filter part of a cigarette; they contain the atomiser and the liquid; when the liquid is done you toss it and replace.

with the atomiser tank systems, when the liquid runs out you add more liquid, but the atomisers might need cleaning. eventually you'll need to change or rebuild the atomiser anyway but basically you want it to last long.

this is what i needed. im definitely a novice vaper but i work at my local vape shop so i need something that i can just put a few drops in and try the new flavors and also, we were thinking of stocking these so i needed to know the difference if i was gonna be selling them. im pretty sure id get annoyed at dripping all the time, and if i did get into dripping, id want to get an rba cuz i like tinkering lol. the 306s come with a cig filter looking cylinder around it. does it still need the special drip tip or can you use it as is?

I just figured you had no idea what you really wanted. Assumed you were completely new and didnt know the difference between anything, ha. Thats why I assumed you would want a cartomizer and not a 510 or 306 bridged type cigalike compatible atomizer. Never hear about anyone using those anymore. Sounds like a decent idea though to quickly change flavors. Even in an rba you still have a bit of flavor transfered when you change juice. Some wicking materials do better than others, but still.
