Hi all - not only am I new to ECF, but all forums in general, so please excuse me if I make posting etiquette mistakes. I made an account specifically because I am so excited about this new (to me) vaping thing.

So, I have had the kit 2 days and now one of the two batteries will not hold a charge. I followed the instructions and charged them both to completion originally. It will charge fully and then die after 2-3 drags, puffs, servings, vapes...not sure of the terminology but you know what I mean. Have I broken it or is it just defective?

I have the two-piece kind, if that is relevant. I appreciate any help on this

I've emailed the company and I'm waiting to hear back. It does indicate that charging is done, so I bet it is just a bad egg and hopefully they will replace it. I think I might try the eGo after I get the hang of this, but I want this one to work NOW! I didn't originally even plan to quit with this, I was just going to cut back a little, but I haven't had even one cigarette since I got this up and running. Thanks for the help and wishes!

Yes push the original Vendor and place the order for the eGo. Sounds like you are one of the lucky ones (like me). After 28 years of smoking I picked up an El Chepo disposable 90 days ago and have not looked back. Went with disposable makers cart & batt package (not so good), jumped to 510 (much better, but batts only lasted ~1hr), picked up eGo (really nice and added 900mah batts and LR atty's). Waiting for damned mailman to deliver Pro Vape right now. Best of luck, happy vaping and welcome to your newest HOBBY.

If I may ask a couple of clarifying questions...maybe we can better assess the issue. Is it an automatic or manual battery? Does it not light up again on the 4th or 5th drag or is it blinking? Have you tried a different cartomizer or the same cartomizer on a different battery?

thank you and good luck.

It's an automatic battery that starts blinking after 2-3 drags and those 2-3 are not very strong. I tried that cartomizer on the other battery and it works just great.

Sounds like its almost certainly a defective battery, though have you tried other carto's with it? I had a carto that wouldnt work on my smokestik or njoy battery but worked just fine on some generic no name one.

Not sure what sort of kit your using but if you want a second battery in a hurry might still be time to find a local vendor in your area that would send it out today and you'd get tomorrow.

Thanks so much! I really wouldn't have believed that I would have given up the cigs so easy. I smoked for 25 years and every time I tried to quit was a nightmare (for me and anyone that crossed my path) I have 1 1/2 packs in the house and couldn't care less about them...I'm deciding whether to throw them away or have them bronzed lol!

The other battery is doing just fine with the cartomizers. However, there's a shop nearby; I think I will head up there and see if there is a compatible battery or maybe they carry a better system altogether.

could also be juice leaking into the battery from overfilled carts. one of my old blus does that if liquid gets in it. I just suck on the battery directly then wipe away any liquid that comes out. Iv'e also had dirty threads on the battery or atty cause it. if that doesn't help then it is probably bad batteries or charger

I just bought another battery for the time being while I wait for the original vendor to respond. (still nothing...) thanks so much for all the tips and advice. I'm off to see the newbie videos now and I'm sure that will help a lot too! Mostly, I want to find out the difference with the manuals and with dripping...I think I'm still not too clear on how it works
