Wow so many replies! Thanks for the advice. I do have an ohm meter on the dna mod, but evidently it's not that accurate, so il get onto that right away! The 28 gauge duals at 5 wraps came in around 0.8 which is what I was told it would be, so I thought it was accurate.

To the guy asking where I am, I'm in Brownhills near Walsall. You?

I didn't understand the post about stepping back from the dark horse. Not sure what I missed there

hi bobby, you live even closer than i thought. I live in wimblebury on the other side of the a5 from you , if your stuck for a good mech build i will happily help you out with something.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna rip the 22 guage out in a bit and re do it. Unfortunately I have no idea whether it is uk or us sizing. They just pulled it off a spool, cut it and gave it to me.

Ah bummer...anyway maybe you can ask next time so you know what to plug into the calculator.... =) Good luck with the next build. Hope your reader arrives soon.

Bobby. Glad to see you didn't, as we yanks say, "blowed yourself up real good".

If you're an apple fan there's an APP called "MicroCoil" that isn't spot-on-exact but it should get you in the neighborhood you're looking for with regards to coil building. My first few weeks of building I found it incredibly valuable. It has tons of little buttons and color schemes and options, but most importantly:

1. you don't have to be an electric engineer to use and understand what's happening
2. If you pay attention, you'll start to see how all the variables effect your build

Learn the Law. Always use good batteries. Keep on vapin'

cheers
