I have a 2 VaporZone Jets that I've been using since I started vaping and stopped smoking 12 days ago. I realllllly wish I had found these forums before I bought them because I would have for SURE gone in a different direction but hindsight is 20/20 right?

Anyway, tonight at work I picked it up and took a puff and it tasted HORRIBLE...burnt and plasticy. I took the tank off the battery and there was a pool of liquid on the battery connection and liquid was dripping through the hole under the metal part that the tank connects to.

I took it apart and here's what I found:

The coil was black and burned.

Is 12 days normal for this to go out? I was really thinking it would last a lot longer than that. The replacements are expensive (to me) at $20 for 5 especially if they are only going to last under 2 weeks.

Does the liquid dripping out mean anything? I just want to know if there's something I did/didn't do to cause this.

Thanks for any help with this - I'm broke till the end of next week and I'm kinda freaked out - I have 3 replacement's left that came with it but if those are bad or go out I'm screwed. Thanks again!

It looks like it's a variation of a top coil CE4 clearo. Or it could be a mini Vivi Nova clone. If you bought it on-line can you give us a link to it?

For a top coil 12 days is a good run. Some of how long a coil will last depends on the liquid you use but these are disposable items and coils do have to be cleaned and/or replaced. Going harsh or nasty means it's time to go.

As far as the leaking goes, every time you unscrew it to fill you risk loosening the parts in this design. You need to make sure the coil assembly is tightly screwed in before you replace the top/mouthpiece.

^pretty much summed it up. For me when I started I didn't care about the cost since it was savings from week one. Was living in NY and paying 12 a pack smoking 2-3 packs a day. However a 5 pack for $20 on the heads is about average and will last you roughly 2 months at your current pace which is a pretty good deal.
