Hello,
I am an newbie, though now in my dotage.
I am a fairly ancient totally addicted pipe smoker using condor tobacco which is quite strong, looking for a replacement, at least for sometimes where it is prohibited.
I haven't smoked a normal cigarette for many years - they just don't satisfy.

Has anybody any suggestions of E replacements for this, that includes the E Liquid?

Hi old man (from another one!);)
You can spend a lot of money buying pre-made juices, to find what you like. And most tobaccos are pretty disappointing - loaded with additives & sweeteners. I only do tobacco flavors, and spent plenty of money on bad and marginal juice before starting diy. If you choose to do that (and it's WAY easier than it seems when you first read about it), you can try many good tobaccos on the cheap. Most of the flavorings will only cost you $2-3 a bottle, so you can make small samples and simply throw away what you don't like. My favorite tobacco flavoring brands are Inawara and Hangsen, and a couple of the SC line. You might like Hangsen's Elder Captain. And if you buy some PG/VG, nic, and some plastic bottles, I'd be glad to send you my bottle, as pipe flavors aren't my cup of tea. If you're interested in getting started, let me know and I can give you a real short, easy "cheat sheet" to get you started in diy without reading tons of threads.

Oh, I just reread your post, and realized you don't have the gear yet. I always recommend the Aspire Zelos kit for starters. I used it, and got friends and coworkers to switch to vaping with it.

Hi MIKE
Welcome aboard.
You can get an e-pipe.
Basically an e-cig shaped like a pipe.
I have made eliquid from condor pipe tobacco. Most eliquid is synthetic and frankly tastes little like any tobacco I ever knew.
Naturally extracted tobacco is the road I travelled. You get the flavour of the unburned tobacco. Latakia heavy mixes give a smokey flavour.
Best of British luck .
Tally ho.

Hello and welcome to ECF. There are vendors who sell naturally extracted tobacco (NET) flavors.
I used to smoke Admiral's Choice Cherry Cavendish in an Italian Briarwood crook stem, unfiltered. I have found a flavor called "Legend" that satisfied me (before I started extracting my own).
Here are some links to NET providers. Maybe look them over, try a half dozen or so.

Considered the "Champagne of NETs" as most are flavored. But Gaia and Dark Horse are not.

Goodejuice Electronic Cigarettes
Long time vendor who produces NET flavors.

As one old timer to another, I don't believe the equipment you use is as important finding a flavor or two that you enjoy. I've tested over a hundred flavors from 15 to 20 vendors, just to find the ones I really liked. Order small bottles until you find something you like, then order more.
An Eleaf Pico (Vaping Mod) and a Digiflavor Siren 2 (Tank) can be had for around $50, easy. Or you could try something with premade coils (something from Aspire, maybe ?)
Good Luck on your Journey !

Thanks all, you've given me a lot to consider - I have had an E-cigarette which I used sporadically for a number of years but now it has given up the ghost and not working anymore, probably the heating part of it has broken - with it I tried what was described as heavy cigar with real nicotine and at the age 75 years I don't feel like changing - it was ok to an extent but did not really hit the spot. I'm quite happy to use a reasonable liquid in an E- cigarette, they do not take up as much room as an E-pipe and are more discreet, if I want a quick puff.

Thanks,
I should have mentioned that I am in the UK mostly though part of the time in France about an hour north of the Spanish border where I buy my supplies of Condor which are allowed to do at least until 29.03.2019, when this silly brexit comes into play - that makes a big difference in Spain €5.05 for 50 grams, in the UK £13 for the same amount. I am crossing my fingers and toes that this brexit never comes to fruition.

Sounds interesting - are you over our side of the pond, if so where? Not sure what Latakia heavy is like, is it anything like the real Condor in a pipe?

1st off welcome to the forum.....
I agree with Upinsmoke....
NETs are the way to go. Try the commercial offerings or research the diy. DIY you can use the same tobacco you use for smoking/combustion (no waste/do not use prerolled cigs). Be fore warned, the flavor will not taste like smoked/combustion but with all the flavor that the tobacco used truly has. I found it more flavorful as some flavors are "burned off" during smoking/combustion.

I thought you were one of ours.
I'm on the east coast. Suffolk.
On your personal info section you can enter where you are. This helps if someone near you has info about vendors in your locality. It's up to you.
Latakia is a curing method which involves smoking the tobacco leaves in the drying process . Dunhill Nightcap is one such variety .
Americans have a greater number of artisan producers of real tobacco liquids.
Known as NET'S.
Choosing a device is in my opinion best done in a good vape store . Where you can discuss your needs and try the merchandise . You will pay more but the advice from a good shop can really help.
If they won't let you use the goods go elsewhere .
As for brexit , I don't know, I can't see it happening . I think we will end up with some fudge that gets everyone off the hook but actually costs a little more than before.

Thanks,
I live at Watford, there is a vape store not far from me. As for brexit, you may be right, it is likely that there will be a fudge which does not satisfy anybody. Ideally I would much prefer to keep my EU citizenship, though the way things are going I could see another ref, say giving three choices, like a hard, a soft, or no leaving at all and with a bit of luck the people will go for the third one. The pressure is certainly mounting for it.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I started smoking with a pipe so I'm very familiar with the setups and learning period. I believe vaping is more complicated than pipe smoking. If you need to stealthily satisfy your nicotine habit, vaping may be the way to go. The vaping information below is a start and may give you an idea of it's pluses and minuses.
