Thanks Mack, there's been lots of self back-patting here.:) I just wish I had done this a few years ago, ya know? But, I have a clean bill of health for now and hopefully, I haven't made the switch too late.

I had 7 packs of very expensive Taxachusetts cigs left when I finally quit. I held onto them for two weeks....just in case. It killed me to toss all that money in the trash (almost 9 bucks a pack) but....it had to be done. When I actually tossed them, I found it very liberating. I tossed all the ashtrays and lighters at the same time. I knew I'd neve go back, so holding onto them was just neurotic in my case.

Yep, I totally understand. I still waver between being proud of myself for quitting and mad at myself for ever starting (and re-starting after I had quit for over a year, ugh!) And I'm glad to hear it was liberating to throw them out! Maybe it will be easier for me to accept the money I wasted after I'm not seeing them sitting around unused. It's crazy how fast vaping can take away a very long smoking habit. :)

I am getting that from Virgin Vapors. I need 100% VG and have found theirs to be the best so far. It's tasty, has good throat hit (even at 8mg) and doesn't clog my coils or create wicking issues like some others I've tried.

Charming...thank you...is Maple Blueberry the actual name of the juice?

Edit....found it on their website..."Blueberry Maple"...thanks..!

I bet there are lots who will beg to differ on that one. I spent a lot at the beginner (as most do) but I am at a pretty content place right now and glad you are also. Good luck to you and I look forward to reading more about you. Congrats on the vaping.

Wow, I can't believe there are more posts here this morning! This is such a welcoming place which translates to "Vapers Rock," in my book.

Mack, I found once I tossed my stash it all went right out of my mind, including the $$$ spent. Out of sight, out of mind I guess.

Inspect, sorry I had the vape name backwards but glad you found the product. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Rat2Chat2, hahahaha, yeah, I certainly can see how the spending could never end, but, I do have a budget, ya know?

I have just recently gotten back into vaping, but I have started vaping a long time ago (started vaping underaged, yes I know it's frowned upon here, but it really helped me through my depression)(I'm at legal smoking age now, and have been at the legal smoking age when I registered)

My gear currently is 5 different mechanicals, drippers, tanks, one boxmod and one that I have yet to receive, a custom made boxmod/mech hybrid. I DIY my liquids, so price stays down and I get exactly the throat hit I want and the flavor I want.

I paid 35€ for about 170ml of liquids, along with 2 premium liquids, G2 Vapor Original and Shocker, which both were 9€ a bottle.

Edit: I suggest you venture in DIY'ing your liquids, 8mg vpg (50/50 or 75/25) costs around 3-8€ ($4-10) for 100ml depending on where you order it, and I personally use LorAnn flavorings as they are true to the flavor it says on the bottle, they're cheap and extremely concentrated, only 2-10% of flavoring needed to produce a grest tasting flavor, even in pure VG base.

Well, I popped back in here to tell you: you were right!

I threw out the old cigarettes I'd been storing, and it was a great feeling! I wanted to do a Michael Jordan slam dunk with the pack into the trash can, but I was out running errands and there were other people around, so I kept it at a casual toss. :D So thrilled to be done with that nasty habit.

Now I just have to stop spending the money I'm saving from not smoking on new vaping gear. :) Thanks for helping me realize that once they're gone I won't be constantly reminded of the money I wasted. Looking forward to forgetting that part! :)

MackCloud, huge kudos on the *Big Toss*! It's a great feeling isn't it? Did you toss the ashtrays and lighters as well? I'm sure you did! It's just so incredibly liberating to say *bye* to those nasty killers.:) I admit, I tore most of mine up with a vengeance and it took awhile 'cuz there were seven packs to shred; great fun!

Good luck on the not spending your savings, LOL! It did take me a full seven weeks to stop and realize that I have enough juice and gear.....for now.:) Must stay within pesty budget.

Oh my gosh, that sounds really fun tearing them up like that, lol! What a way to literally *break* the habit. :D

I decided to save one lighter for candles, but the rest are history! :)

I've still got the ashtray on my back porch (ick!), but only because I'll have to carry it through the house and take it out the front door to the trash outside, and of course it's suddenly warm outside today so the horrible smell coming from it seems to be even worse. It looks like it's going to cool right back down in a couple days, and as soon as it does I plan to run it (literally!) through the house, to hopefully not get a lingering smell inside.

I've got 5 tanks, 3 batteries, and a few bottles of juice now, so I think I've convinced myself that I can stop buying things (for now... lol.) I was told if I make one more purchase I'll need to find a Vaper's Anonymous meeting, so I had to stop reading the deals thread on this site, haha.

After paying so much extra in a store, and seeing how much cheaper the same items are online, I went a *bit* overboard on buying extras of everything because I didn't want to ever be stuck paying full price again. Christmas money is gone, but I'm okay with that because this stuff will last me a long time. :) Hopefully as long as I avoid the sales threads I won't buy anything else. (Feels like famous last words here for some reason...)

Best of luck to you, too, on sticking to the budget! :D

I suggest cling/saran wrapping the ashtray and then dropping it into a plastic bag and tie a knot with the handles/mouth of the bag and if you want to be extra secure, put the tied bag in another bag. Shouldn't give off any lingering smells in the house

I know exactly where you're coming from. Discovering FastTech was the death of me! (And then there was the juice. And the clearance sales. And......)

Most awesome!! I am so glad you did it!

I still think you should have done the slam dunk though. I have found it amazingly liberating to not give a :censored: what anyone might think, I just do what I want. :p (within reason) I am a big ol' goof ball and I find more often than not it makes people smile more than frown, give it a try some time.

Haha, thanks everyone! And congrats back to all of you! :)

Today I'll be doing the final toss of my ash tray, and hopefully with using your saran wrap idea and a couple of garbage bags I'll be able to keep the awful smell contained.

I really want to buy a case for my iStick now, but I'm going to try to keep my wallet contained, as well. :D So much temptation!

Wishing you all the best.
